The Forge Hammer is one of two manual metal shaping tools in IC², the other being the 
Cutter, and is the first thing needed for progression in the mod.

Uses[edit]
The Forge Hammer is primarily used to craft metal plates out of ingots and item casings (2x) out of plates, having the same recipes as a 
Metal Former in Rolling mode. (For specific information, see Metal shaping article.) A hammer can be used to craft 80 times before it breaks.
Forge Hammers (undamaged) are also used in the recipes of the 
Industrial Workbench and 
Batch Crafter.
