The Heat Exchanger moves heat within the Grid Nuclear Reactor.png Nuclear Reactor and Grid Reactor Pressure Vessel.png Pressure Vessel Reactor. It can also be crafted into other types of heat exchangers.

Usage[edit]

The Heat Exchanger is used to move heat within the Nuclear Reactor and Pressure Vessel Reactor.

Heat Management
Heat Capacity 2500 hU
Hull Exchange Rate 4 hU/s
Component Exchange Rate 12 hU/s

Hull Exchange Rate refers to the amount of heat the Heat Exchanger will take from the reactor hull per reactor tick

Component Exchange Rate refers to the amount of heat the Heat Exchanger will take from adjacent components per reactor tick


Due to its low heat capacity, the Heat Exchanger will easily melt down if it does not have sufficient cooling. It should not be placed next to components that have high heat output such as Grid Uranium Cell.png Uranium Cells.


Upgrades[edit]

The Heat Exchanger can be crafted into other types of heat exchangers that each move heat differently.
