The Stirling Kinetic Generator is an open cycle kinetic generator that accepts Heat and water, it then heats up water to produce KU and Hotspring water. It is more efficient than using the Stirling Generator per unit heat; but it is slightly less efficient than a Steam or Superheated Steam setup.

Description[edit]

This machine have 5 heat input side (side with orange square) and 1 kinetic energy output side and requires water to operate. It have 3 upgrade slots internally and 2 fluid tanks - one is input fluid and another is output fluid.
Conversion efficiency of Heat to Kinetic Energy is 1:3. i.e. For every unit of heat, it generates 3 unit of kinetic energy.
Comparing to other heat based generator setup, its efficiency is:
150% of Generator or Solid Heat Generator plus Stirling Generator
300% of Fluid Heat Generator plus Semifluid Generator
Same efficiency as Superheated Steam setup
(as of version: 2.8.104-ex112, MC version 1.12.2)

Recipe[edit]

You will need 6 Glass Bottle, 2 Piston and 1 Basic Machine Casing

Trivia[edit]

  • Interestingly, while this machine have 6 heat input side, it requires fluid input and output in addition to KU output, that means, for any useful setup, at most 4 sides can be used to supply heat
  • Although there is no piping in IC2, Hotspring water can still be dispensed using Universal Fluid Cell and Dispenser along with a redstone clock
