Industrial Diamond
The Industrial Diamond is created by placing a Coal Chunk in a Compressor. As of 1.63, they are deprecated; this method will create a normal diamond, and all existing industrial diamonds can be converted to normal diamonds by placing them in a crafting table.

To create an Industrial Diamond from scratch, you need:
- 64 Coal (

- 1 of either Obsidian (
), Bricks (
), or Iron Block (

- 8 Flint (
)
- Compressor (
), and power to run it for 9 items (8 Coal Balls
, 1 Coal Chunk
)
- Macerator (
), and power to run it for 64 items (64 Coal
)
Process[edit]
Macerate the Coal into Coal Dust:
Combine the Coal Dust with Flint to create Coal Ball:
Compress 8 Coal Balls into 8 Compressed Coal Balls:
Combine with Obsidian, Brick block or an Iron Block to create a Coal Chunk:
Compress the Coal Chunk to get an Industrial Diamond:

Industrial Diamonds can be used as a replacement for Diamonds in all IndustrialCraft² recipes that use Diamonds as well as most vanilla game recipes, except for Diamond Armor, Diamond Blocks, Jukeboxes, and any recipes that use Diamonds that were added via different mods.
industrial diamonds are now called diamonds when crafted. they can now be stacked with normal diamonds and used in the same crafting recipes.
