Ranukano's Ideas[edit]

Personal Chests: Limit the ability to create Personal Chests. Starting with 1 or two and advancing to a minimal number. I've seen to many times people covering entrances or being a general nuisance. This would also be useful for raiding, since not every item would be in a personal chest.

Anti X-ray Griefing. I've only tinkered in this, but using specific code to detect X-ray texture packs, such as this specific java code http://www.java2s.com/Tutorial/Java/0261__2D-Graphics/Iftheimagehastransparentpixels.htm just to see if a particular texture has transparent pixels. I'm testing this and can't get 100% working, however to check all textures that should not be transparent seems possible, and if they are to deny access to the server. This of course isn't 100% but would deter it.

It is sad to say but it appears the Medieval Craft Rage Server is dead due to the large number of X-ray Griefers taking out entire Teams/Guilds by themselves. Raiding is a fun idea, losing all your items because of one person kinda kills it.

Wolves with the ability to "Guard", the wolves are considered somewhat useless by the majority of users. I figure adding code to make a "home" point for the wolves that they always go back to, but within a particular radius if another user enters, to make them attack even if the owner is not on. This would be the Beastmaster's own way of a "trap"

Heavy Chests A chest that can only be destroyed by "Iron" or possibly "Diamond". Maybe a Personal chest that only the user can access, but can be destroyed. This would be a great deterrence for those who jump on a server once simply to destroy.

Archers, i'll leave this blank as it seems your working on this. I would like to see the ability to "Camouflage" yourself into grass or leaves while standing still though.

Assassins, i'm sure you've played Tenchu at some point. Ninjas often used a particular item called Caltrops, they have spikes on all sides and are used if they are being pursued. This would be useful to slow down members chasing assassins.

Alchemists, has always been one of those strange "sciences" that also bordered the line of Magic. One interesting thought of ancient alchemy was turning one substance into another through scientific methods. Maybe turning lesser iron into gold (usually lead though).

Blacksmith Maybe another class to add? Someone to not only make hardened iron but possibly steel weapons and improved tools. Thoughts of hefty doors come to mind.

Builder Can use tools longer, can produce double the materials from recipes, needs to be easier to level though i think.

Gatherer It would be nice to have an in-between axe. It seems you go from what everyone else can do to the almighty (but short lived) Forester's axe. An interesting concept would be to let them create an item that would produce farm animals everyday at that location, or at least increase the chance.

Miner Same as builder, it just seems except for some very far off recipes at high levels you are not much different then other people.

Warriors No idea, fairly powerful already.

More Idea's[edit]

Another Idea!

Throwable hammers

Useable by assassins, archers and maybe warriors.

deals 1 heart damage.

Special

1 hit destroys dirt. Strong knock back. This could solve the problem with the 1 block towers as while they are bluiding them they could be completely knocked off the tower.if the tower was made from dirt and the hammer missed them it would break a part of the tower. This could also knock people into traps.Plus if you have a nice moat by your wall then you could knock those 1x1 tower bluiders straight into it.

Spikes

If fell apon it deals 4 hearts of damage. It Could really make castles defences much stronger and allow the defensive side to have a fighting chance.

Method for forming guilds[edit]

Firstly, I am not a modder so I do not know if this is possible but hopefully this idea can be implemented. The purpose of the castle is to house a guild and prtoect its inhabitants from invading persons, teams, or other guilds (as I understand it). So why not have a locked and protected room in the center of the castle containing a personal chest which belongs to the guild leader and contains a paper with the names of all the guild members. Making paper editable has probably been done by other mods before although I personally don't know of any. Anyways, the names of the people in the guild will see each others nameplates in green while everyone elses would be red (so that teammates can be easily distinguished). Also, all people on the guild charter cannot attack each other (to prevent friendly fire in battle). If a castle is conquered, the locked chest can be opened with an assassin skill possibly, then it could be converted by having the guild leader overwrite the names of the previous members with the names of his guildies. This would disband the old guild and allow the invading team to overtake the castle. This would give a purpose to building an elaborate castle, and give castle invasions and sieges a purpose other than just the taking of natural resources. Also if the castle is taken back, the guild can retreat back to their previous castle and survive.
