Item ID[edit]

Is it worth us actually trying to get these, bearing in mind IDs are gone as of 1.7? Chocohead NagEditsAdmin 15:37, 9 April 2015 (CEST)

  • I think, item_ID is not so important. It can be changed for resolve mods conflicts? But item names, like as <IC2:itemHarz>, would be useful for recipe-making in file ic2.ini --Nictrace (talk) 15:48, 9 April 2015 (CEST)
I guess Item Name could work as a replacement. Should probably add it to {{Infobox}} if it's going on {{Item}} as well. And move Infobox into {{Block}}. Chocohead NagEditsAdmin 15:53, 9 April 2015 (CEST)
Thinking about it though, the "IC2:" can be automatically added, as every IC2 item would have it.
On third thoughts, {{Infobox}} does work for items too (Mining Drill for example), so perhaps we should just work into merging features {{Item}} has into Infobox, and redirect both Block and Item to it.
Infobox looks good for Drill. It need some items, specific for redioactive materials maybe, and I can replace template:Item to {{Infobox}} --Nictrace (talk) 16:59, 9 April 2015 (CEST)
Right, {{Block}} and {{Item}} both now call {{Infobox}}, but you should still use Block or Item rather than Infobox so that the categories are added to the pages automatically. Chocohead NagEditsAdmin 19:20, 9 April 2015 (CEST)
Thank you, it's like a Minecraft wiki now! --Nictrace (talk) 08:23, 10 April 2015 (CEST)
