does anyone have any idea how much power the pump uses and how to use one (e.g toggle redstone signals or place a bucket to fill it up or place a chest next to it and any liquids will be placed in to cells?) i dont know how to use it at all!

As of 1.00 it does now work, bucket and/or cells work for it. No Redstone signal does effect it at all (Though only do one tile under them :( --Omagaalpha 20:02, 15 September 2011 (CEST)

  • Also it needs a note indicating how much power it uses. --Trifler 12:07, 7 October 2011 (CEST)

Umm, input 200, but it explode after 32? I think you should expand another row with Capacity and Input separate or something to show temporary storage, its too confusingDiscipol 13:16, 28 December 2011 (CET)

I think the input is the amount of EU needed to perform one operation, while the 32 represents how fast power can be put into it? --Kmartinator 17:57, 28 December 2011 (CET)

Yeah but this format doesn't clearly show that.Discipol 10:38, 29 December 2011 (CET)

It's the same as on every other machine page. "Input" indicates the amount of energy needed per operation and the speed at which energy is consumed during operation, while "Maximum Input" shows the maximum input packet size. Could probably be written a little better, but it's not unique to this page. Hawk777 01:54, 31 December 2011 (CET)

How does this work with Buildcraft, if at all? I want to rig something that takes lava from a buildcraft pump and automatically puts it in cells, but for the life of me I can't figure out how that would work, if at all. Can anyone help? Lieronet 07:37, 9 January 2012 (CET)

I don't know that the IC pump would be the right tool for the job. If you can transfer the lava from a BC pipe into buckets, then craft the buckets with an empty cell using the automatic crafting table, maybe you could get it to work? I'm not 100% sure of an automated way to get the lava into buckets, nor if the automatic crafting table can handle fluid buckets as a material. Kmartinator 17:56, 9 January 2012 (CET)
Using only BuildCraft 2 (I'm not familiar with the new additions in 3) and IndustrialCraft, I believe this is impossible. However, buckets can be used on BuildCraft fluid tanks; with the addition of something like RedPower's deployer, this can be used to automate the injection of liquids into IndustrialCraft systems.
