Painter color clearing suggestion

Would be great if you could mix the painter with water to clear the color you use.

I find it disappointing that there is so little color added to a cable when you apply the paint - like 4 pixels of the cable. It would be nice to be able to paint the whole wire a certain color, instead of everything still being mostly black.
