As I understand it - a kinetic water generator is not implemented for the work, as there is no rotor of the water generator. At least the list shows only the rotor for the kinetic wind generator.

Or am I wrong?

Quote.pngAs with the Kinetic Wind Generator, it requires either a Wooden, Iron, Steel (Refined Iron) or Carbon Gearbox Rotor.Quote.png
They're Gearbox Rotors, they're not tied specifically tied to just the Kinetic Wind Generator, anywhere that says otherwise is plain wrong. Chocohead NagEditsAdmin 18:24, 23 November 2015 (CET)

kU on different biomes and heights[edit]

Hey, I tested it on 2.2.827 (on MC 1.7.10), and it seems like Kinetic Water Generator generates kU differently on different biomes:
1) On river biome, it generates somewhere around 15-35 EU (stable). It seems like it's somewhat less sensitible to height (can be placed on Y above 64). Carbon rotor diameter: 7x7.
2) On deep ocean biome, it generates 0-250 EU (more at a peak, but less stable). It refuses to generate on very low heights (Y=10), or heights with Y>64. Seems to be working fine on heights 42-57 (likely more, I hadn't tested). Carbon rotor diameter: somewhere around 13x13 (It's different from river).
3) I hadn't tested it on regular ocean biome.
All EUs are for carbon rotor. It doesn't matter if it's source block or moving water block. Blocks around it doesn't matter do matter, efficiency can be reduced up to 2 times if it's just 1 block wide water, and like Kitetic Wind Generator, they can't be placed directly adjacent.

Can someone look at sources (or experiment) and elaborate on this? Article really needs a new info. - VcSaJen (talk) 08:17, 3 May 2017 (CEST)
