:Ok well I placed a Generator, then I placed an Electro-Furnace with one square in between. Then I connected them with a copper cable. At this point everything is completely empty. I then put one piece of coal in the Generator and let it burn completely. I then placed a stack of items in the Electro-Furnace and counted how many items it finished before shutting down. I got 13 every time. There have been several patches since I tested though so I guess it's possible it was changed, but you should try testing the way I did because there is no variation. --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 02:00, 10 April 2012 (CEST)
::I tested again today and confirmed that it was changed in one of the patches. I can smelt 10 items now, which matches your result. --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 03:55, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

EU per Operation[edit]

We know that the regular Furnace takes 200 Heat Units per operation and the Iron Furnace takes 160 Heat Units per operation, so we need to list how many EU it takes per operation. --Trifler 08:02, 1 January 2012 (CET)

The electric furnace uses 700 EUs from a RE-battery per operation. -- ?
This can't be right because I can smelt 13 items per piece of coal placed in a Generator connected to an Electro Furnace. --Trifler 07:50, 7 January 2012 (CET)

First I used batbox to measure the storage of furnace but because one time it drains 416EU per smelting other 384EU I realized that EU/operation must be between it so I used EU-reader to mesaure how much energy it use to process 1 item and got 390EU. Kempior

Ok well I placed a Generator, then I placed an Electro-Furnace with one square in between. --Trifler 02:00, 10 April 2012 (CEST)
I tested again today and confirmed that it was changed in one of the patches. I can smelt 10 items now, which matches your result. --Trifler 03:55, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
