It was changed years ago that machines can be overclocked beyond an item a tick up to a stack per tick. Strictly they could go even faster, the limitation is the room for output (which there is normally only room for a single stack). Chocohead NagEditsAdmin 14:14, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
