Conduction vs Convection[edit]
I don't believe conduction is the proper term when describing the transfer of heat between two fluids: in this case, from Pahoehoe Lava to Coolant.--Max Shen (talk) 01:54, 31 March 2015 (CEST)
- Convection would imply that the heat is rising to the top and escaping, while conduction implies that the heat is being transferred into the coolant. Logically, it conducts when in contact with a cold liquid, and convects when it just sits on it's own. Chocohead Nag• Edits• Admin 02:11, 31 March 2015 (CEST)
