The Metal Former is a machine which is used and/or needed to craft various items, such as Plates, Item Casings, and Cable. The Metal Former has 3 modes which can be toggled by clicking the button underneath the progress bar: Rolling, Cutting, and Extruding. Rolling mode is represented by a [[Forge Hammer]] and is used to turn Ingots into Plates, and Plates into Item Casings. Cutting mode is represented by a [[Cutter]] and is used to turn Plates into Cable, and also [[Iron Item Casing]] into [[Industrial Credit]]. Extruding mode is represented by [[Copper Cable]], and is used to turn Ingots directly into cable, as well as some other recipes shown below.

Use[edit]

The Metal Former has 3 modes, toggled by clicking the button underneath the progress bar. The button's icon will change to indicate the active mode.

Empty Cell (1.7.10)[edit]

In versions after 1.7.10, the Empty Cell was replaced by the Universal Fluid Cell; but in versions 1.7.10 and prior, the Empty Cell recipe is as follows
