The Multi-Functional Electric storage unit, or MFE, is a Tier 2 energy storage device. It is able to store up to 600,000 EU. It can accept up to 128 EU-Packet power, with unlimited EU/t, from its 5 input faces and output 128 EU-Packet power, with a max of 128EU/t, from its output face.

Like all storage units, its output face is marked by a special texture, which usually faces the player when the block is placed. The direction of the output face can be changed by right-clicking with a Bronze Wrench onto any of the input faces of the block; normally, this will point the output face towards the player, but holding Shift while clicking will point the output face in the opposite direction. Be aware that right-clicking the MFE while pointing at its output face will dismantle it.

You can set the redstone behavior by clicking the redstone button on the top left of the GUI.

Wiring Tip: Do NOT use Copper Cable or Tin Cable on the output face because Copper Cable cannot handle more than 32 EU/p, and Tin Cable can handle up to 5 EU/p. Use Gold Cable, Iron Cable, or Glass Fibre Cable instead.

Note for wiki users: Do NOT change the "2xIns. Gold Cable" to "Copper Cable" in the recipes. Since IC2 1.97, MFE's are crafted with 2x Insulated Gold Cable. This is not a mistake.

If you are still using version 1.95 or earlier you have to use "Copper cable" not "2xIns. Gold Cable". 2xIns. Gold Cable will not work.

This device can do it. Everything.

The MultiFunctionalElectric Transmitter is necessary for any big industrial workspace using cables and current. Why? Let me tell you of the amazing number of uses:

Any cable linked to the side faces of the MFE will transmit energy into it. The MFE itself will as well EMIT energy, through the top and bottom faces.

Even more, the MFE contains an integrated ENERGY STORAGE. Yes, that's right, it can effectively contain an amount of energy, comparable to 60 RE BATTERIES(or 10 Energy Crystals).
The MFE will often not emit power if no power is requested of it (for instance, if it is just linked to a machine). However, it is possible to stop the MFE from emitting energy at all by powering it with redstone.

But even better: for the unbelievable case you managed to FULLY LOAD the MFE, it will emit energy (ignoring redstone signals). This was done for the sake of preventing energy from getting wasted in uebercharged MFE 's.

Last but not least, the MFE can act as an energy up- & download station in vast networks. You can pop an empty battery(or an empty Energy Crystal) in the upper slot and it will become charged until it's full or the MFE is out of energy. As well, you can put charged batteries(and charged Energy Crystals)into the lower slot to load up the MFE 's storage.
That's technology, isn't it, HAYO!
