Created by combining the Lapis Lazuli's Current-Storage abilities with an Energy Crystal,one can create a device capable of storing TEN MILLION EU.

However, as most devices are incapable of handling this power, only an MFSU or machines with 2 Transformer upgrade (as of IC2 v1.65) can (de)charge these crystals.

Unlike RE Batteries, right-clicking does not recharge the electric tools currently in your inventory.

Experimental (unknown build) Lapotron crystals are now tier 4 batteries, storing 10 million EU, and (dis)charging at 8092 EU/t.

Trivia[edit]

In .minecraft/config/IC2.cfg you can edit that file and in general...

 # Enable usage of lapotron crystals on miners
 enableMinerLapotron=false

Set false to true and lapotron crystals can be used in miners.


A charged lapotron crystal can store OVER 9000 Gibbl! HAYO!

The extremely dense energy storage results in many electrons being packed tightly together. All that negative charge results in extreme pressures, hence the use of diamonds, for their strength.
