New Item/Block of IndustrialCraft².

The Low Voltage Transformer is used to turn MV into LV and back. This is useful for when you only want a small bit of current, like for powering basic machines.

All energy that comes into the Transformer through all sides except the face will power it up. The low voltage current is then emitted through the side with the face. Redstone power must be applied to the transformer in order to make it emit MV current.

Usage[edit]

When using any Transformer, remember that the 3-dotted side means higher current and the 1-dotted sides mean lower current. You can change the direction the 3-dotted side is facing by right-clicking a 1-dotted face with a wrench.

Converting to LV:[edit]

In order to convert to LV, you must point the cable carrying MV from a MV Transformer or MFE Transmitter to the 3-dotted side and then link a cable to one of the sides with a single dot. Then that cable will be carrying LV that you can safely link to machines or store in a BatBox.

Converting from LV:[edit]

In order to convert from LV, point the cable carrying LV from a BatBox or a Generator to one of the one-dotted sides and then link a cable that can carry MV to the 3-dotted side. Do not forget to apply redstone to the LV Transformer.
