The Heat Exchanger does just what the name implies: it exchanges heat inside a Nuclear Reactor. It is the basic of all Heat Exchangers, and is used to make all other Heat Exchangers.
Stats:[edit]
HP: 2500
Hull exchange rate (HER): 4
Component exchange rate (CER): 12
Due to low heat-capacity, this component will easily meltdown unless it has enough cooling. Do not place next to high heat-output components like the Uranium Cell, as it will melt fairly quickly. instead, use the Advanced Heat Exchanger for higher-temperature heat exchanging (but beware, even it may meltdown from high heat!).
