In Hover Mode, holding the jump key will make the player ascend slowly, and the jetpack will '''automatically''' slow the player's fall to a similar speed. This feature makes the Electric Jetpack better than the normal Jetpack, as the Hover Mode for the normal Jetpack only has the first feature. Plus, Hover Mode uses less energy!
Note: The Electric Jetpack's hover mode is superior to that of the regular Jetpack, as the regular Jetpack cannot ascend while in hover mode.

New Item/Block of IndustrialCraft².

The Electric Jetpack is a simpler, more easily recharged, and otherwise mostly superior version of the conventional Jetpack. Flying is performed by holding down the jump key.

The Electric Jetpack is limited to a maximum flying height of ~185 meters (blocks) above the bedrock layer. For comparison, the normal Jetpack is limited to ~245 meters above bedrock.

It also has a Hover Mode, which can be toggled by pressing the M key while in use (i.e. holding down the jump key). In Hover Mode, holding the jump key will make the player ascend slowly, and the jetpack will automatically slow the player's fall to a similar speed.

Note: The Electric Jetpack's hover mode is superior to that of the regular Jetpack, as the regular Jetpack cannot ascend while in hover mode.

Recharging[edit]

A fully charged Electric Jetpack has enough power to fly for about 215 seconds (three minutes and 35 seconds) in normal mode, and about 375 seconds (six minutes and 15 seconds) in hover mode. This is drastically longer than the regular Jetpack's flight time of ~60 seconds.

Unlike the normal Jetpack, the Electric one remains powerful right until it drains the charge completely.

The Electric Jetpack can be recharged in an CESU, MFE or an MFSU, and requires 30,000 EU to fully charge.

  • We are not responsible for any deaths caused by Jetpacks. Safety first!
  • Wearing Rubber Boots while using a Jetpack is highly recommended.
