Construction Foam is cheap and effective meterial against mobs. Players able to break hardened foam in no time.
After it's placed, it will eventually turn into a Wall which is paintable and explosion resistant. Explosion resistance is 60, it will resist TNT, ITNT and creeper, will not protect from nukes, reactors and lasers.
