This is the composite body armor

it counts as one of the 'utility' items in the industrial-craft mod and unlike the nano or quantum armors does not require energy to function but does not offer as high a protection level and has no notable perks

It provides three armor points, just like an iron chest-plate. However, the composite vest lasts much longer.
