Alternative Mettod[edit]
You can mine for clay balls and arrange it in a 2x2 square in the crafting table. It will give you a Clay Block.

[1] Given Clay is extremely abdundant now,it doesnt have it's artificial crafting recipe. There's an UUM-recipe for clay, though. The wiki is outdated, that's the IC1 recipe. Greetz, Alblaka
