The Nuclear Reactor is a known generator to produce EU.

With IndustrialCraft², the reactor system is fully recoded! Instead of lame Uranium refining, you now have to make a good setup for your reactor with all the reactor stuff you can find in the navigation. But one thing wasn't completely changed: nuclear meltdowns!

In IC² the reactor can hold a value of heat, which is a byproduct of producing energy with Uranium Cells. This heat can be reduced by Cooling Cells, and Integrated Heat Dispensers.

You can enlarge the space of your reactor by attaching up to 6 additional Reactor Chambers.
Reactors are complex and not for the faint of heart. A bad design can suddenly replace your house with a nice new crater.

__TOC__
Reactor Terms
Here are some of the terms often used when describing a reactor and its design.

;Reactor Tick: A reactor 'ticks' once every second. This is when heat, EU generation, and cooling is calculated.

;Reactor Design: The pattern in which components are placed within a reactor. A good design can give you nice, safe energy, and a bad design can spontaneously crater-ize your home and its contents.

;Full Cycle: The time it takes for a full Uranium Cell to be used up. 10,000 reactor ticks, or 2 hours 47 mins.

;Uranium Pulse: Pulses occur during a reactor tick, producing heat and EU for each uranium cell. Uranium Cells placed next to each other will interact to produce multiple pulses per reactor tick.

;Heat: The reactor itself and its components can all store heat. If heat levels gets too high, then components will melt, and there will be a risk of a reactor meltdown. (Boom!)

;Cooling: Cooling is provided by internal components like a Cooling Cell and the outside environment like water. Cooling is needed to counteract the effects of heat and hopefully keep your reactor (and home) intact.

;Cooldown Period: The time required for an inactive reactor to cool all the excess heat it has collected.

;Reactor Hull: This is where heat goes when it's not stored in a component. The maximum heat storage is 10,000, but it can be increased with Reactor Chambers and Integrated Reactor Plating.

;Reactor Class: All reactor designs can be a class like "Mark-I-O ED" or "Mark-III EB" which gives an indication of how well a design will perform.

;Reactor Efficiency: The amount of EU generated per Uranium Cell used. The more Uranium Cells that are placed next to each other, the higher the efficiency, but also the higher the risk.

;Breeder Reactor: A type of reactor design that produces little energy. Its purpose is to recharge Depleted Isotope Cells into full Uranium Cells.

Reactor Components
A list of the various components that can be used within a reactor.

;Reactor Chamber: Not really an internal component, these are placed adjacent to the reactor block in order to increase the number of slots within a reactor, increase the strength of the hull (+1000), and add a small amount of cooling.

;Uranium Cell: The key part of a reactor. Each cell will pulse one or more times per tick, producing some heat and 100 EU. On its own, a cell will only pulse once (5 EU/t) per tick, but each adjacent Uranium Cell will add an additional pulse per tick, producing additional heat and packets of 100 EU. A Uranium Cell will last up to 10,000 reactor ticks (2 hours 47 minutes), generating anywhere between 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 EU, depending on the efficiency of the design. Uranium Cells have a chance to turn into Near-Depleted Uranium Cells when they're used up.

;Cooling Cell: A single cell can store up to 10,000 heat away from the reactor hull; any more heat will cause the cell to melt. The cell will also cool 1 point of its stored heat each reactor tick.

;Integrated Reactor Plating: Plating will distribute heat from an adjacent uranium cells into surrounding cooling cells and also into other plating to be further distributed. Distributing heat to another plating only happens once; the second plating will not distribute to a third plating. Plating also increases the reactor's hull strength (+100) and can store up to 10,000 heat itself if it is unable to direct it into a cooling cell. This stored heat will dissipate at a rate of 0.1 per reactor tick.

;Integrated Heat Dispenser: These components will attempt to balance out the levels of heat within the reactor hull, itself, and any adjacent component capable of storing heat. During each tick a dispenser can exchange up to 25 heat with the reactor hull and up to 6 heat with each of the surrounding components.
:For example, if a reactor hull has 120 heat stored and fresh dispenser is placed inside and surrounded by 4 cooling cells, then the dispenser will begin balancing the heat levels until the hull, itself, and the cooling cells each have 20 heat.

;Near-Depleted Uranium Cell: The 'empty' state of a Uranium Cell; these can be made manually, or have a chance of appearing when a Uranium Cell runs dry within a reactor. They produce 1 heat each reactor tick.

;Depleted Isotope Cell: A depleted Uranium Cell mixed with coal dust. When placed next to a Uranium Cell it recharges into a full cell once again. Isotope cells produce 1 heat and will cause adjacent Uranium Cells to pulse an additional time each tick. This extra pulse will produce heat but not EU. Isotope cells charge much faster if the reactor is running very hot.

;Re-Enriched Uranium Cell: The fully charged state of an isotope cell, it will continue to produce only 1 heat and no EU but it will no longer react with adjacent uranium cells. Combined with another coal dust, it will become a brand new Uranium Cell.

;Water Bucket: When a reactor's hull has more than 4000 heat, it will evaporate the water, reducing the heat level by 500 and leaving the empty bucket behind. (The reactor won't spit it out.)

;Ice Block: Each reactor tick, if a reactor's hull has more than 200 heat, it will evaporate 1 ice block, reducing the heat level by 200.

;Lava Bucket: A lava bucket will increase a reactor's hull heat level by 2,000, and the empty bucket will remain in the reactor. This is useful for 'breeder' type reactors while recharging isotope cells.

Heating and Cooling
Almost every component and the reactor itself can store heat in an effort to stave off a disaster. It is up to the cooling systems (and you) to get rid of this accumulated heat before the reactor cannot take any more.

The reactor's own storage (known as the reactor hull) starts off at 10,000, but that can be increased by up to 6 extra chambers (+1000 each) or placing plating into the reactor (+100). If the reactor hull reaches 50% of its maximum heat storage, then nearby water will begin to evaporate, and at 85% the reactor has a chance of removing itself from existence... violently.

Heat stored in components will be safely tucked away from the hull, but it will need time for the cooling systems to quench it all.

The most common source of heat is uranium cells, which will produce heat for each pulse they perform. The amount of heat depends on how many cooling components are adjacent to the cell:
No. of Components
Heat Generated
0
10 per pulse into the reactor hull
1
10 per pulse into component
2
8 per pulse, 4 for each component
3
6 per pulse, 2 for each component
4
4 per pulse, 1 for each component

More cooling systems around a uranium cell mean less overall heat to deal with, making the reactor safer, but it also reduces the potential amount of EU a cell can produce. Risk vs. Reward.

Depleted Isotope cells only produce 1 heat per tick themselves, but they still react with adjacent Uranium Cells and make them pulse additional times.

Near-Depleted Uranium Cells and Re-Enriched Uranium Cells produce 1 heat per tick.

There are several ways to reduce a reactor's heat each tick:

500 heat per bucket
&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A; Cooling only occurs if the component in question has any heat stored.

The maximum outside cooling possible is 33 (reactor, 6 chambers and 20 water blocks).

If the amount of cooling available is less than the amount of heat produced then the reactor will gradually collect heat. There are various ways to deal with this:

* Make a design that only has a slight amount of excess heat so that even when the Uranium Cells are used up the heat levels are still not dangerous.
* Manually drop Ice blocks and/or Water buckets into the reactor.
* Apply Redstone current to the reactor (or one of its chambers), causing it to stop generating heat and EU for as long as the Redstone current is active.

Heat management for a 'Breeder' type reactor is different. Breeders work best when running hot, so it's best to make a design that has exactly the same heat and cooling amount, then manually boost the heat by adding lava buckets, removing cooling, or temporarily adding extra uranium cells.

Reactors will emit smoke particles when warm and fire particles when hot. Be careful when using lava buckets, as the 2000 heat goes directly into the hull, and the heat dispensers need time to pull it into the cooling systems.

Environmental Effects of Reactor Heat
As reactors heat up, they will start having detrimental effects on their immediate surroundings.
Each additional chamber increases the threshold by 4% (400 heat), to a maximum of 24% relative to a base reactor.
The exact heat effects for reactors are:
% of max hull heat
40%
Flammable blocks within a 5x5x5 cube have a chance of burning.

Reactor Classification
All reactor designs fall into a set of pre-defined categories. This makes it easier to see, at a glance, how effective a design can be when either looking up designs on the IC forums or posting a design yourself.

Mark I
Mark I reactors generate no excess heat each reactor tick and thus are safe to use continuously for as long as you supply Uranium. Mark I's tend have a low efficiency, but that's the price of a completely safe reactor.

Mark I's have two sub-classes: Mark I-I for design that do not rely in outside cooling in anyway and Mark I-O for those that do.

Mark II
Mark II designs produce a small amount of excess heat and will need to be given a cool down period eventually to prevent the hull reaching 85% maximum heat or melting component. A Mark II must complete at least one full cycle before encountering heat problems.

The sub-class for Mark II's denote how many cycles the design can run before reaching critical heat levels. For example Mark II-3 will need a cool down period after running 3 cycles in a row. Mark II's that can run 16 times or more get the special sub-class 'E' (Mark II-E) for almost being a Mark I.

Mark III
Mark III reactors tend to have an emphasis on efficiency at the cost of safety. Mark III's are unable to complete a full cycle without going into meltdown and thus need to be shutdown mid-cycle in order to deal with the high amount of excess heat. This can be done manually or by using Redstone.

Mark III's have the additional condition that they must run at least 10% of a cycle (16 mins 40 secs) before reaching critical heat or losing any components.

Mark IV
Mark IV's still have to run at least 10% of a cycle, just like Mark III's. The difference being that Mark IV's are allowed to lose components to overheating, and that must be replaced before the reactor goes critical.

Mark V
Mark V's are for those who want to squeeze every last scrap of EU from their uranium cells; they cannot run long without needing a cool down period. You'd better have great Redstone timer skills, or you'll never be able to turn your back on these things.

Additional Suffixes
As well as being Mark I to V, reactor designs also have one or more suffixes to better inform people about their performance.

;Single Use Coolants: A reactor that relies on a supply of ice and/or water buckets in order to maintain its classification should be suffixed with '-SUC'.

;Efficiency: To calculate efficiency, take the number of uranium pulses a design makes per tick and divide it by the number of uranium cells it possesses.
:The number provided will show the efficiency rating a design has:
:{| class="wikitable"
Number
Rating
Exactly 1
EE
Greater than 1 but less than 2
ED
2 or greater but less than 3
EC
3 or greater but less than 4
EB
4 or greater
EA

;Breeder: This suffix is for designs that also recharges isotope cells. Isotope cells charge up faster when the reactor runs hot, so heat management is important. There are three breeder types:
:*Negative-Breeders slowly lose heat over time and will need heat to be added manually, or they can be left for a safe slow way to recharge isotopes.
:*Equal-Breeders have exactly the same heat generation as they do cooling ability and usually only require a user to boost the reactor's heat level manually at the beginning.
:*Positive-Breeders gain heat over time and will require more precise cool down management for the reactor to remain hot.
:Reactors whose sole purpose is to recharge cells may not even have a 'Mark' classification and are simply called Breeders instead, with the efficiency/SUC suffix added.

Example Classifications
;Mark I-O EE: A reactor design that can run continuously, but relies on outside cooling and only produces one pulse for each Uranium Cell.

;Mark II-1 ED Positive-Breeder: A reactor with recharging capabilities that can only run one full cycle before needing a cool down.

;Mark II-2 EC: A reactor design that can run two full cycles before needing a cool down period, producing at least 2 pulses per Uranium per reactor tick on average.

;Mark II-E-SUC EC: A reactor that can run at least 16 times before needing a cool down, relying on a supply of ice or water and has average efficiency.

;Breeder EA: A heat-neutral reactor designed for the sole purpose of recharging Isotope Cells. Each Uranium Cell is capable of charging 3 or more Isotope Cells.

Tips and Tricks
Here are a few tips and things to look out for when using a reactor.
* There is a Thermometer add-on on the IC forum that can be useful for those who want to monitor heat levels closely.
* Redstone timers can turn even Mark V's into self regulating-reactors, but if you're not the Redstone equivalent of "The One", then you might want to make use of a Redstone enhancing mod, like RedPower, for example.
* Heat Dispensers can only draw 6 heat out of a component per reactor tick, so look for components that seem to be holding more heat than the others and try to fix the problem.
* While the reactor hull's maximum heat tolerance can be increased, all other components are fixed at 10,000. So even though a reactor can survive 10,000+ heat, Heat Dispensers will still pull that heat into components and melt them all.
The Electric Jetpack is a simpler and easily recharged version of the conventional Jetpack. Flying is performed by holding down the jump key. Unlike the normal Jetpack, the Electric Jetpack is limited to a maximum flying height of 85 meters (blocks) above the bedrock layer.

It also has a Hover Mode, which can be toggled by pressing the H key, while in use (i.e. holding down the jump key). In Hover Mode, holding the jump key will make the player ascend slowly, and the jetpack will automatically slow the player's fall to a similar speed. This feature makes the Electric Jetpack better than the normal Jetpack, as the Hover Mode for the normal Jetpack only has the first feature. Plus, Hover Mode uses less energy!
Construction Foam is the ultimate material against mobs and other players.

After it's placed, it will eventually turn into a Wall.

The process of wall-solidifying can be sped up by placing a light source near the foam.

In the meantime, the foam can be walked through by anything, including mobs (although the risk of suffocation or getting stuck in a new wall is high).

You can spray CF with the CF Sprayer too; just toss the foam into a Compressor for spray-able CF Pellets.
Also known as T501-Non-Rechargeable Energy Storage Unit, each Single-Use Battery can store up to 1000 EU. That's 9000 EU less than their rechargeable counterparts... and you can't recharge them.
Efficiency
Single-Use Batteries produce more energy than simply burning coal in a Generator.

*Coal makes 4000 EU if burned.
*Redstone is worth 500 EU.
*Macerating coal into dust costs 625 EU.

Ignoring the costs of making cables and hydrating the dust, the total potential energy of these ingredients are 4000+500+625= 5125 EU

From that you get 8000 EUs worth of batteries-- who needs the law of conservation of energy?! Not you!

You only have to think of what's worth more: 2875 EU and the portability, or a Cable and Redstone.

Just don't forget to hydrate the coal dust!
To use the Wrench to remove a machine, simply right-click the machine.

The Wrench's removing mechanic will override the machine's interface-- don't hold a wrench when you want to use your machines!

There is some chance that when you do, the machine will not be successfully removed and instead you'll be left with a gutted Machine.

It's also worth noting that any items or energy stored in the machine will be lost when it is dismounted.
Yes, this machine is actually capable of doing it:

Trading ressources to prices YOU determine. Without any further handling. Just place it somewhere, place a chest next to it and fill the chests with stuff you want to sell.

Then, set a price by placing IC in the last slots of the chest. You can even use multiple stacks of IC,

and thus sell goods for higher prices then 64, by filling the chest with coins, from the last slot to the first.

You may as well use coinstacks instead of coins.

Of course, you should consider leaving space for the money the Item-O-Mat will earn, otherwise you may find it stopping to work, exspecially as Item-O-Mats are not human and will not form coins into 9er-coinstacks.
This device has two functions.
First of all, it acts like an Item-O-Mat and will sell ENERGY. To be precise, an Energy-O-Mat will work like a cable.

However, it will not allow current to pass freely. Instead, customers need to drop coins into the Energy-O-Mat, to fill up it's "deposit".

The Energy-O-Mat will then use this deposit and allow current to pass.

For this to work, the owner of the Energy-O-Mat needs to place a chest next to it and define (as usual) a price in the last chest slots.

the price will be calculated per 4000 EU each. (thus, a price of 40 IC would mean the customer has to pay 1IC per 100 EU). All paid coins will ,

of course, be stored in that chest, as well.

The second function of the Energy-O-Mat is to activate redstone-based systems, for the rare occasion people are actually still using this outdated system.

As long as the Energy-O-Mat is allowing energy currents to pass, it will trigger redstone wires nearby.

For this sake, if you do NOT place a chest near to it, OR leave the chest empty (and thus define a price of zero), the Energy-O-Mat will allow any current to pass freely, even without being paid.

First of all, it can be use to tune MFE's to assign a specified power output, different from the standard 30er on. Each click on the button will increase the Output by 1 EU/s.

Upon exceeding the maximum possible Output, which is amazing 64 EU/s, it will jump back to 1.

This is important, because of a currents behavior in the energy net:

Sending HIGHER currents will effectively waste less energy on travel. If you send five times a 10 EUs Current along cable, wasting 4 EU on each send (due to cable length),

you will only receive 30 EU on the end.

If you send a single 50 EUs package, it will loose 4 EU, and end up with 46 on the end.

On the other hand, overpowering machines with to high current can cause wasted energy. If a machine is charged 599/600 and you send 50 EU in, it will be powered, but waste 49 EU.

If you send a continous strem, strong enough to power machines permanently (you can check exact values further down), it will waste (at max!) only a few EU.

Per smelting!

As well, you may click ANY cable, to instantly measure the sum of all currents running through it.

Extremely valuable for determining how to wire stuff up for maximum efficiency.

Rightclicking on nothing / invalid blocks / air will cause to change the measuring timeframe of the EC Manipulator, too make measuring of unsteady or oversteady currents easier.

If we have uranium, we must be careful with radiation, because it can kill.

Thinking in this sentence, I made it:

First suggestion:

Do the uranium ore kill, without explosions, only with radiation.

One uranium ore have 5 blocks of radiation, any thing in this area will take damage

--Okay, its good, but how we will use uranium without getting closer?

Second suggestion:

Put in the game Lead Ore. This is the best material to use radioatives things. With a Lead Ore we can build:

Boxes of lead, to store radioative things;

Clothes of lead, to use radioative things;

Walls of lead, to contain radiations from the reactors(you put your reactor in a room of lead);

With this things, the nuke will be more realistic, and the people will not be happy in see uranium closer from your base, only if they have a stock of lead.
Hazmat suits would have to be relatively expensive, made of rubber and lead, and be very weak against attacks. Also, the uranium wouldn't deal TOO much damage, so it would be low enough to harvest unclothed. It would be silly to punish people and force them to mine around the ore completely. Also, holding uranium in your inventory shouldn't hurt you, that would be crazy. If it's in your hand, hurting things within range would be cool.}}
Defense Turret
I was thinking of a Defensive Turret/cannon of some sort.

The Tesla coil is great for places that you have a nice power station set up or don't need to walk through alot. Though for small outposts or automated miner setups far away from your base they aren't so practical.

So here we go. After thinking about it I came up with this.

Defense Turret

:C L C
:WMW
:R E R

:C=Circuit
:L=Mining Laser/or new part
:W=Wire
:M=Machine Block
:R=Reinforced Stone
:E=Energy Crystal

Place this block and tie it into electricity. Have it fire at all enemies, but not target the player. For damage I crunched numbers and came up with about 2.5 hearts per shot at a rate of 1 shot every 3 seconds. Electrical use would come out to about 300 EU per shot. This would equate out to 1 shot every 6 seconds with only one max input line at 50 EUs hooked in, but if you hooked in another for 100 EUs you would get the 1 shot per 3 seconds. Firing distance would be between 10~15 blocks. I think the gap in firing time equates the lower EU usage, as these are designed for mining operation/outpost defense. As you establish yourself/if you decide to, you can upgrade the fire rate by hooking in more power. You would obviously want to build more than a few, because of the low damage.

My final thoughts are maybe a redstone on/off feature if it was hooked in.

Advanced Machines
# Implement an entire leveled system, Mark I to IX, of most of the machines; Macerators, Extractors, Compressors, etc. Each level requires a number of Advanced Machine blocks plus the previous iteration of the machine. Starting with the base machine and one Advanced Machine Block to craft a Mark II and finishing with a Mark IIX and 8 Advanced Machine blocks for the Mark IX. That's a massive 45 Advanced Machines to go from one to nine. 360 iron for the basic Machine blocks alone. The person boasting a bank of Mark IXs is truly an Industrialite.
# Increasing the level of your machines would obviously come with perks besides showing off to your friends. Each level increases the speed with which the machine works, and the upper reaches come with additional perks. The Miner Mark V now goes out 3 squares from it's origin, while the Mark IX goes out 4 for a 9x9 area of automated mining. The Macerator becomes more efficient at sorting ore from the chaff of stone, and each level after the first has a 10% chance of returning a third dust (or a second for coal.) The Recycler becomes more likely to spit out scrap and at higher levels has a chance of a High Quality Piece of Scrap, yielding a second loot table bereft of the the things you'll promptly stuff right back in. The Extractor Mark IX becomes a sort of second Recycler as it manges to extract the last vestiges of ore from Stone; occasionally spitting out Iron, Copper, Tin, Lapis Lazuli, Redtone, Gold, Coal, or Diamond blocks.
Do it like wool, only instead of changing color, or making new sprites, just make it so that the "Machine Mk #" appears in the GUI. Maybe make a Mk X which has the same recipe as Mk IX, but with an IX in the middle instead of VIII, and put one faceplate in there with a Mk X, which gets pasted on five sides of Mk X machines. ==Buildcraft Submod==

Buildcraft is an awesome mod that uses pipes to transport items to and from machines.

Now of course you COULD say "install Buildcraft then". However in the IC world, it is a game breaker. The Quarry, Autocrafter and Golden Pipe (item booster) require only Redstone current. This means free boosting, free crafting, and free mining.

Industrial Buildcraft as a Submod would largely incorporate the same systems. Changes:

-Golden Pipes require EC's to accelerate items in the pipe
-The Mining Well is superseded by the IC miner.
-The Quarry requires EC. Possibly in the form of High Voltage?
-The Autocrafter requires EC. (Rename to Factory?)
-Gears are Superseded by Circuits.

New:

-Bronze Pipes. Crafted like the other pipes, with 2 bronze Ingots. Bronze pipes function like Gold Pipes but also can change direction. The combined abilities of the Iron Pipe + Gold Pipe.

-Refined Iron crafts double the amount of Iron pipes.

-Quarry Recipe :
Iron Gears => Circuits
Diamond Gears => Advanced Circuits
Gold Gears => Advanced Machinery Block

Why add this? Because it's a natural expansion of IC and it allows for Megafactories to be built.
You could use bio/coal based fuel (clumpy?) and perhaps the compressor to start the process, probably a plastic lump/ball to be melted or pressed into sheets (8-9 sheets to a block?).

I wont go into detail about the uses of plastic, because there is quite a few possibilities.
After looking at the CCTV mod and a newer version of it, i was displeased because I thought i was going to be able to put security cameras in my control room. Sadly, these mods, while impressive, fall short in only having one channel. I suggest: industrial-craft cameras and monitors, which would be connected by cables (hopefully) and display an image (perhaps if possible *not* 16 by 16). that way, my (and everyone else's) control room or security system could be one notch (hee hee) cooler.
Weather Control Device
Since the terraformer doesn't affect the Biome's weather I was thinking of a Weather Control Device (maybe another terraformer blue print?) It can alter the weather in a Biome effectively changing it from or to desert/forest/snow and/or controlling when the weather occurs even making it constantly rain/snow/thunder (the second part is probably much more feasible). I would think it would look like an antenna or radio tower-ish. If not then a blue print for the terraformer that alters the weather pattern or invokes the weather.

Arrows that you place on the ground to show direction in a cave allowing you an easy way to tell which direction to go for where you were last mining or to leave the cave. It would be stack-able to save on inventory space and takes fewer resources to make than signs. It's been done before in the 2x2 extended crafting (which sadly doesn't like to work with IC, at least not for me) where they act like signs in that they face a certain direction when you place them but you can right-click them to change the direction they are pointing and they come in a variety of colors. Maybe made from powdered glass or refined sand by macerating the glass or sand and then being able to dye them different colors. To color them you could just put the dye you want in the crafting grid (anywhere) with the arrow (anywhere).
Renewable Gravel and Lapis Lazuli
I would like to suggest adding a way to create gravel and lapis lazuli.<br>
As far as I know, they are the only resources one can’t get through the use of other resources (recycler, macerator, etc.) and energy (matter generator).<br>
<br>
To get rid of lacking this ability, I propose to:
<ul>
<li>Add a means to get gravel.<br>
This could be through recycling, or it could be possible to obtain it by macerating stone (instead of getting cobblestone).<br>
Maybe one could get cobblestone from stone, gravel from cobblestone, and sand from gravel.<br>
Then, to get flint, there would have to be another way. Possibly through the compressor?
<li>Make it possible to get lapis lazuli.<br>
I think it would be best to make it obtainable through recycling (it should have a probability similar to that of diamond).
MFE/MFSU emiting redstone when fully charged or custom number
IC wiring need a way to communicate with redstone switch cable can already bu used like interrupter cutting or allowing passage of EU but their is no way to received signal from the said wiring. For know , for example, when a MFE is full or if a miner is stopped.

That allow multiple possibility to automatise the EU system from a centralized storage to an automatic sending system where EU is needed without any man intervention.

I propose to make a redstone ability to the storages units (MFE and MFSU), emitting redstone like a redstone torch if its full. Its allow more possibility than if emmiting when empty, which is easily noticeable by the lack of working machines.

I know at that time, the MFE/MFSU have the ability to stop emit EU when receving redstone, but like i said before this can be easily emuled to the switch cable.

Or better if possible, allow the possibility to customize the redstone emit, like : [if store EU<25% emit redstone and if store EU >= 100% stop emit redstone].

And maybe extend the redstone possibility to others types of machines, like the MINER for a easy notice when he is stopping to work.

Every single piece of hardware should brake after long, random amount of working time.
After some time of playing player have all the machines, do all tricks and playing become boring. If you add maintenance to the mod there will be some extra things to do and fun will be longer. This can be done in three ways.
<ul>
<li>1. Some tool to go with to the field and there repair hardware.</li>
<li>2. Bring hardware to home and put in some kind of workbench for fixing.</li>
<li>3. Scrap broken hardware and replace it with new one.</li>
</ul>
In case of fixing there should be need for spare parts (i.e. random part from recipe for this hardware).
The best way will be mixing in some smart way this tree ways. Maybe light malfunction can be fix in field, mayor in workshop and chance of appearing will be adequate to degree of problem?
I've seen on the Get Satisfaction site an idea for something like a chest but with a much larger area to use(about 16X16 or so) that would allow you to make redstone circuits in this one block space. I saw this and thought, "this is something IC should have!" Because IC already has machines and 'circuits'.

Great friend, companion, house keeper and guardian. Can take care of safety of your whole family! ;P

Expensive piece of machinery. Size of one block, he can walk around. It can be only toy, but adding a module give him a purpose.
Example modules:
<ul><li>Cartographer - going in roughly one direction, making maps on the way and returning</li>
<li>Battlebot - defend player (like wolf)</li>
<li>Repair bot - if some machine will brake he will repair it</li>
<li>Sentinel - patrolling neighborhood and raise alarm if some hostile approaches then run</li></ul>

Rule is that he can only one relatively simple task.

Spider-bot should have home (box). Box can recharge inner battery of spider-bot, but also can give him order to go to work if electric signal is provided.
seeds...
Hi,

Do you have allot of seeds? Do you want do to something with them? Do you want to be green?!!!!!

Stop putting them in your recycler because here is the solution for all your seedy problems!

what if you combine 8 seeds and glass?

(Why can't i insert images!!)

you get a jar of seeds!

But what can you do with it?

Well... you can right click it and get your seeds back. or...

Put them in the extractor!

(Why can't i insert images!!)

You get a bottle of oil!! (extra virgin)

you can do two things with this green stuff and those are:

1.
(Why can't i insert images!!)

a salad (heals three harts because it's healthy!!) (one salad a day, keeps the fat away!)

2.
(Why can't i insert images!!)

You can brew your own (clumpy) bio-fuel!!! (already exists, but this is a different way to get it!)

I hope this will come soon to the game!

Vidios: Added note on draining before recharging.

It's small, it's low-weight and full-power. While wearing an Bat-Pack, all electric tools will drain energy from the batpack. and since the Batpack can carry LOADS of energy,

this isn't much of an issue.

However, keep in mind: Bat-Packs do NOT protect you from receiving damage.

As well, due to the massive energy storage and complexity, Bat-Packs can only be recharged in MFE's, for a cost of 60000 EU. However, it must be completely drained first.

For safety means (goddamn, 60000 could mean 300 possible HV pulses!), you need to activate a Bat-Pack by RIGHTLCLICKING while holding it, first.

Otherwise your tools will not be able to drain energy from it.

But seriously, get a Bat-Pack RIGHT now, it's even BATMAN-approved!
