Now some further instructions for those costumers, who bought the slightly less expensive versions of this products-row in crafting blueprints form.

I would still recommend that you BUY all machines instead, but if you really want to, you may craft them as well.

First of all, you need the basic resource for all kind of advanced machines:

It's secret knowledge revealed to you now, but you can actually smelt iron ingots to even better iron ingots, isn't that great?
Scaffolds are easy to place construction helpers that are slightly unstable and need to be supported by other scaffolds below,

They are easy to set up / demolish AND act as ladders for reaching the building height easily.

They are very good for building structures with CF.

Usage
Rightclick: Places one Scaffold (as normal)

Leftclick: Places one Scaffold on top of the scaffold you clicked on. (Of course this only works if you have already placed one Scaffold)

Reinforcing Scaffolds
You may reinforce Scaffolds by using additional sticks.

Right-clicking on an existing scaffold with a stick will reinforce it. This will consume 2 sticks. The scaffold being reinforced must also be part of a pillar of scaffolds connected to the ground.

Once a scaffold has been reinforced, you may then place additional scaffolds adjacent to it, over air blocks, up to 4 blocks away. Those scaffolds may then have additional scaffolds connected to them as well, up to 1 block away.

forum.industrial-craft.net

This feature allows for expansive scaffold 'flooring' in high areas and greatly assists with placement of CF in otherwise tricky areas.

Note that when a reinforced scaffold is broken, you will get 2 sticks and a scaffold back. Thus, nothing is wasted when reinforcing a scaffold.

There is also an iron version.

Due to the relative weakness of power generation, Solar Panels are often assembled into so-called Solar Flowers (when using Copper Cable), whereby as many Solar Panels as possible are connected to a BatBox using cable lengths of four segments or less. These constructions provide the benefit of compact and relatively cheap Solar Panel arrangements without energy losses. This was the most efficient design that existed in IC1 and earlier versions of IC2. The addition of Tin Cable, which allows micro currents to be carried 40 blocks, has made other arrangements equally feasible. Now, solar flowers are outdated because very inefficient compared to solar farms with tin cable, copper cable and glass fiber cable.
