TarzanBuzzyMan: I still think the first line should contain the main use for a macerator. Doubling ore output.

The Macerator is a grinding machine, capable of breaking down blocks and items. It is used to increase ore output and convert some blocks and items into more useful resources.

For example:

* The Macerator grinds down one Tin Ore into two Tin Dust, each of which can be smelted into a Tin Ingot.
* Cobble can be grinded down to sand, and gravel to flint.

It uses either a direct Cable connection or an energy storage item (Single-use Battery or RE Battery).

It reduces ore blocks (and Clay_Blocks) into 2 Dusts, metal ingots into 1 Dust, Coal into 1 Coal Dust, Spider_Eye into 2 Grin Powder, Coffee Beans into 3 Coffee Powder, Glowstone_Block into 4 Glowstone_Dust, Blaze_Rod into 5 Blaze_Powder, Bones into 5 Bone_Meal and Plantballs into 8 Dirt. It can grind Cobblestone and Sandstone into Sand.
Trivia
As of v1.337, the Macerator gives off dust particle effects while in use.

HAYO
The grinding pressure of the Macerator is kept at a modest 50 gibbl.

Did you ever feel like life was being unfair to you?

Did you ever feel angered about your neighbour miner finding loads of minerals whereas you didn't?

Now, did you ever take a look at his work station?

Do you want to know why he had giant loads of valuable ingots to craft into more awesome stuff?

HE HAD A MACERATOR!

Stupid people (this does not apply to custumers or everyone reading this, but to everyone you personally dislike) smelt ore.
What a shameful waste. You just smelt some ore out of the rock and then trash the remains? Nah, only idiots do that.

Every Pro Miner knows, that 50% of a rock's mineral deposits are surrounded by massive rock and can't be obtained by smelting.

For this problem, we invented the Maceratron-E-901!

It uses the combined force of smart technology and brute force to break open every even so small part of stone, effectively doubling the efficiency of gaining ore.
It takes some time, but will completely waste-free and 100%-sure turn the entire ore-rock into dust and then automatically filter the useless stone out.
As a result, it will return you high-quality ore-dust of whatever material you dropped in there.

And, you may guess it, this dust can be smolten into ingots! Isn't that great? You can easyly DOUBLE your entire ore production. Don't hesitate, BUY NOW, HAYO!
The Macerator is a grinding machine, capable of breaking down many ores, blocks and items. It is used to increase ore output or convert some blocks and items into a more useful resource.

The Personal Safe is a (mostly) indestructible player bound storage item with a 54 slot storage capacity. It does not need any free space on certain sides to be accessed unlike the chest.

The Safe will bind to the first player who accesses (opens) it.

After the safe is bound only owner and server operators may access or use a wrench to remove it. If you changed your nickname for any reason (starting game in offline mode will change your nick to "Player") you will lose access to the safe.

In order to use a wrench to remove the safe it has to empty. You will always get the safe back through wrenching.

Uses
Personal Safes are the best to use with the Trade-O-Mat because anyone attempting to open them can't steal your stock (which is possible with the default chest). Also, this chest allows for compact storage and improved aesthetics.

Trivia
* Indestructability state can be ignored by other mods.
* Can be used for griefing, there is no easy way to remove it without help of a server operator.
* Nether portal may land on personal block replacing it with obsidian.
* Reactor overheating can replace the Personal Safe with lava.
* Nuke explosions will ignore the Personal Safe in raycasting routine, meaning you can't shield your reactor with Personal Safes.
The Macerator is an all purpose grinding machine, capable of breaking down many ores and blocks into their base components.

For example, the Macerator grinds down one Tin Ore into two Tin Dust, each of which can be smelted into a Tin Ingot. Also cobble can be grinded to sand and gravel to flint.

It uses either a direct Cable connection or an energy storage item (Single-use Battery or RE Battery).
Trivia
As of v1.337, the Macerator gives off dust particle effects while in use.

The grinding pressure of the Macerator is kept at a modest 50 gibbl.

HAYO

The Personal Safe is an indestructible player-specific chest that has the storage capacity of a 54 slot double chest but only takes a single block. The Personal Safe will not merge with other chests or safes placed beside it.

Chest binds to the first player who accesses (opens) it.

After the chest is bound only owner and server operators may access and remove it. If you play SSP and have changed your name for any reason you will lose access to the Safe.

Personal Safes can be only dismounted by their owner when empty with using Wrench (100% success rate).

Uses
Besides being virtually indestructible, Personal Safes are the best to use with the Trade-O-Mat because anyone attempting to open them can't steal your stock (which is possible with the default chest). Also, this chest allows for compact storage and improved aesthetics.

Trivia
*Other mods may ignore "undestructable" state of block.
*Nether portal may land on personal block replacing it with obsidian.
*Reactor overheating can replace the Personal Safe with lava.
*Nuke explosions will ignore the Personal Safe in raycasting routine, meaning you can't shield your reactor with Personal Safes.
*Personal Safes have not been updated to include the chest opening animation introduced in Beta 1.8, and as such appear as a full block.

Electrolyzing is 90% efficient, so 10% of the energy is lost during the process.

Electrolyzed Water Cells absorb 15000 EU, but lose 1500 EU, only storing 13500 EU. When left in the Electrolyzer, adjacent to an empty MFE/MFS, they will discharge into the MFE/MFS, converting them back to Water Cells again.
Simply place the Water Cells directly to the left of the energy storage display, and as they are removed from the stack and filled with energy, they will be placed in a slot directly to the right of the energy storage display.
The Coolant Cell is a heat storage Nuclear Reactor component. It can be created by placing a Water Cell in an Extractor.

This component will sink heat from other components, there is no self cooling or future heat distribution, you will need vents to restore cell or replace it.

Currently 10k, 30k and 60k versions of Coolant Cell are implemented.

Note: Reactor components update only inside active reactor, placing a coolant cell in a chest with Vents will have no effect.

Crafting
IC2 v1.103 and earlier: Created by placing a Water Cell inside an Extractor.
The Personal Safe is an indestructible player-specific chest that has the storage capacity of a double chest but only takes a single block.

The Automated Miner is the lazy man's answer to mining.

Why spend all that time down in dangerous caves when with a little EU, and a few bits and pieces, you can mine ore from the surface!

Requirements
To run the Automated Miner requires 3 things, with several optional highly recommended things:

Energy: From a cable or portable sources (NOT including Tier II or Tier III energy devices.) Batpacks work. It will only accept 32EU/p

Pipe: Mining Pipe is consumed to dig down. Returned once the miner retracts

Drill bit: Mining Drill or Diamond Drill

Optional
Scanner: OD Scanner or OV Scanner | So that it branches off to the sides to mine blocks, instead of just boring a shaft directly down.

Pump: Pump with Empty Cell | To collect source water blocks that get in the way of mining, and to clear + store lava in a stackable container.

Operation
To use the miner insert a Drill Bit into the top-left, a Scanner in the top-right and your Mining Pipes into the top-middle.

The miner will consume the pipes to dig down extracting ore it finds in its scan range(See Scanning Range section).

Any ore found will be brought up and ejected onto the surface next to the miner. Placing a chest next to the miner will result in the ore being stored in it instead.

Once the miner has finished you can retract the pipes by removing the Drill bit. Also you may place blocks (Dirt etc.) in the pipe slot to fill in the shaft when it retracts.

An easy method of efficiently mining with the Automated Miner is to dig down to the upper level of the strata containing the ore you are seeking. Dig through a tunnel until you find a scan result you are happy with and set up the Miner. For power, consider using a Geothermal Generator, as you are likely to be relatively deep and hauling buckets of Lava is an energy efficient means to power the Miner.

Scanning range
A miner with an OD Scanner mines all ore in a 5x5 block area around it.

However a miner with an OV Scanner mines all ore in a massive 9x9 block area!

Liquids
If the miner hits water or lava while tunneling it will stop unless they are cleared.

Alternatively if you place a Pump next to the miner (filled with empty cells) it will extract the liquids for you, storing the lava in the cells for power generation!
Energy Costs
Rough power costs for one operation:

Mining Drill: ~450-470 EU

Diamond Drill: ~880-900 EU

OD Scanner: ~65-75 EU

OV Scanner: ~165-190 EU

So the cost to drill down 1 level with a Mining Drill + OD Scanner is ~460+~70 = 530

And the cost to drill down 1 level with a Diamond Drill + OD Scanner is ~890+~70 = 960

Diamond Drills are far more expensive but far faster. ~4 times as fast.

EU/Tick:

A miner with a Mining Drill and OD Scanner will use ~2-3 EU/t.

A miner with a Diamond Drill and OV Scanner will use ~20-24 EU/t due to the higher cost per tool and faster mining speed.

Other Notes
Miners can not mine through items like torches, redstone wiring etc.

Sought after blocks are controlled in the .minecraft/config/IC2.cfg file on the line start with valuableOres=, if you want to add blocks from other mods the list is a comma separated set of blocks following this pattern: blockID-Damage:ScannerValue, ; when the damage value is not specified all possible values match. == HAYO ==

This device is surely most awesome. It will do your job and doesn't even want to be payed!

The Automated Miner requires three things to run: Energy, a Drill Bit and Mining Pipes.

Put some Mining Pipes in the top-middle slot and an energy source (of course we recommend you our T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Unit here, as well) in the lower one or supply it directly using an Energy Transfer Cable N-x.

Now the Miner will start it's operation, digging and planting Mining Pipes below it, as well as using the (hopefully) inserted OD Scanner or OV Scanner to scan for nearby ores.
Once detected, the Miner will dig to the detected ore and harvest it. All harvested ores will then be transported through the Mining Pipe and ejected on the Surface, next to the Miner.

The Miner will mine all ores in an 5x5 area (with itself in the center), as far down as possible (if you have enough pipes, that is). Upon reaching inpenetrable objects (f.e. Obsidian),
the miner will stop it's operation.

Once you've stripped the entire area, you can just put any sort of block into the pipe slot. The Miner will then start WITHDRAWING all laid Mining Pipes and replace them with the filling material.
This way, you will never "consume" Mining Pipes. If the Miner stops operating in this mod, it has withdrawn all pipes and can be recollected for placing it on a new location.

Come on, let's do this together:
The Automated Miner is the lazy man's answer to mining.

Why spend all that time down in dangerous caves when with a little EU, and a few bits and pieces, you can mine ore from the surface!

Requirements
To run the Automated Miner requires 3 things, with several optional highly recommended things:

Energy: From a cable or portable sources (NOT including Tier II or Tier III energy devices.) Batpacks work.

It can also convert Stone into Cobblestone, Gravel into Flint, Wool into String and Ice into Snowball.

Maximum Input Power: 32 EUP before exploding.

Trivia
As of v1.337, the Macerator gives off dust particle effects while in use.

The grinding pressure of the Macerator is kept at a modest 50 gibbl.

HAYO

Put the Electrolyzer next to an MFE or MFSU and it'll take some power to convert Water Cells into Electrolyzed Water Cells. Electrolyzed Water Cells can be used to store power for later usage.

In other words, the Electrolyzer acts as an additional storage device for your MFE/MFS unit that, while slow to charge and discharge, can be disassembled and stored, etc.

Simply place the Water Cells directly to the left of the energy storage display, and as they are removed from the stack and filled with energy, they will be placed in a slot directly to the right of the energy storage display. From there, they may be removed to store for later or left in place to discharge as needed.
