Do not place next to high heat-output components like the Uranium Cell, as it will melt fairly quickly. instead, use the Advanced Heat Exchanger for higher-temperature heat exchanging (but beware, even it may meltdown from high heat!).
The Electric Jetpack is a simpler, more easily recharged, and otherwise mostly superior version of the conventional Jetpack. Flying is performed by holding down the jump key.

The Electric Jetpack is limited to a maximum flying height of ~185 meters (blocks) above the bedrock layer. For comparison, the normal Jetpack is limited to ~245 meters above bedrock.

It also has a Hover Mode, which can be toggled by pressing the M key, while in use (i.e. holding down the jump key). In Hover Mode, holding the jump key will make the player ascend slowly, and the jetpack will automatically slow the player's fall to a similar speed.

Note: The Electric Jetpack's hover mode is superior to that of the regular Jetpack, as the regular Jetpack cannot ascend while in hover mode.

A fully charged Electric Jetpack has enough power to fly for about 215 seconds (three minutes and 35 seconds) in normal mode, and about 375 seconds (six minutes and 15 seconds) in hover mode. This is drastically longer than the regular Jetpack's flight time of ~60 seconds.

Unlike the normal Jetpack, the Electric one remains powerful right until it drains the charge completely.

The Electric Jetpack can be recharged in an MFE or an MFSU, and requires 30,000 EU to fully charge.
Since 1.70 the Chainsaw now also works as shears. Just right-click on a sheep. (Please make sure to right click, as we cannot be held responsible for the inadvertent disassembly of sheep due to left clicking.)
Charging
This tool may be charged using a Generator of any kind or MFE/MFSU/BatBox. Alternatively, it can receive power from a Bat-Pack. It can also be recharged by right-clicking while holding a battery (hold right-click until it fully charges)

It costs 10.000 EU to recharge a fully discharged Chainsaw.

Technical
* Costs 50 EU to break any block. (Wood, Dirt, Obsidian or Reinforced Stone).
* Costs 100 EU to attack an entity, causing 10 damage (5 hearts).
* Although it can be considered as a sword, it cannot block.

HAYO
A dark night, you don't have any torches left, and no fuel to heat your house...
There's a forest nearby, but even if you have an old, rusty axe...
THERE ARE FREAKIN' ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE!
Your solution: The C-32 Chainsaw!!

Yes, you heard right, we designed a frikking chainsaw!

It's built with the same components as the Mining Drill, and is as well completely compatible with T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Units.

With a chainsaw, you never need to fear a dark night without wood, because you can just run out there and cut everything down. The forest! The zombies! That neighbour you've been meaning to kill! ANYTHING!

You can even cut your way through those pesky Cave Spider webs you hate so much, and even get string out of them while you're at it! This amazing contraption can also cut tree leaf blocks useful for making bio fuel—you'll never run out of juice for your jetpack again! (Do note that the chainsaw is SUCH an effective tool that it often completely shreds any potential saplings that may have dropped from the tree.) Along with zombie heads, the chainsaw also can quickly remove wiring.

And all this at an amazing speed, HAYO!

Of course, the high quality of our products makes the C-32 Chainsaw completely unbreakable, and it will never need sharpening (though you will need an energy recharge here and there).

But can simple pickaxes still fuel the hunger of modern machinery? I tell you: No!

For this sake, we developed the ultimate device for every miner:

The D-765 Mining Drill!!

This device can easily run right through any kind of stone, ore or sand. Actually, it goes right through them even EASIER then a hot knife through butter.

That's a fact, mate.

Additionally, our great level of technology allowed us to make the Mining Drill fully compatible with our famous T500-Rechargeable Energy Storage Unit.

Of course, you can now complain about the energy hunger of "a simple tool". But did you yet realize that the Mining Drill is completely unbreakable?
Usage
The OD Scanner is operated by activating it in a quickslot and right clicking with it. The Scanner scans all blocks in a 5x5 square, with the player in the middle. It evaluates all the blocks below player's position. Every valuable resource block adds 1 to the density of the area. After the scan, the total Ore Density in an area is then calculated according to the following formula:

OreDensity = 1000*TotalDensity/TotalBlocksScanned, where TotalBlocksScanned is the total amount of blocks below the player. In this case, it is equal to 25x scan height. The result is rounded down to the nearest integer and output on player's screen.
The OV Scanner (Ore Value Scanner) is the improved version of the OD Scanner. This device not only calculates how much ore there is in the scanned area, but outputs its value based on how valuable the ores are. The OV Scanner can also be inserted into a Miner to increase the Miner's mining area from 5x5 to 9x9.

The OV Scanner is operated by activating it in a Hotbar slot and right clicking with it. The Scanner scans all blocks in a 9x9 square around the player. It evaluates all the blocks below player's position. Every valuable resource block is then added to the total value of the area. This chart shows the default value list:

Resource
2
Gold Ore
4
Uranium Ore
4
Diamond Ore
5

This list can be customized in the .minecraft/config/IC2.cfg file on the line starting with valuableOres=. Other blocks, including blocks from other mods can be added to the comma separated list of blocks using this pattern: blockID-Damage:ScannerValue, ; when the damage value is not specified all possible values match.

The values are totaled, and the total ore value in an area is then calculated according to the following formula:

ValueOfArea = 1000*TotalValue/TotalBlocksScanned
, where
TotalValue
is the sum of all the values for the detected resources, and
TotalBlocksScanned
is the total number of blocks below the player. In this case, it is equal to
81*ScanHeight
. The result is rounded down to the nearest integer and output on player's screen.

{{Grid/Machine
Type=MFE Transmitter
Top=OV Scanner

Every usage drains 250 EU, and with the total storage of 10 000 EU, this means that the OV Scanner can be used 40 times before having to be recharged. It can only be recharged in an MFE Transmitter, an MFS Unit, or a Miner. Using the Miner to charge the OV Scanner allows charging without access to tier 2 and 3 EU storage devices. Note that the OV Scanner does not drain the player's BatPack!
