Weed-EX is used to prevent the growth of Weeds on empty Crop blocks at the cost of crop quality. Damage to the crop's quality is permanent and cannot be reversed, aside from complete removal.

Recipe
{{Grid/Crafting Table

Usage
While holding Weed-Ex, right-click on a Crop to apply it. It can also be placed in a Crop-Matron to automatically apply it to your crops. Overuse will reduce crop quality, capping their stats at 10.

HAYO
We thoroughly reviewed various reports of potential research being destroyed by weed and thus researched a formula called "WeedEx".

This potentially gen-mutating and highly-lethal-to-human-employees poison spray is inharmful to plants except for Weeds. Spraying it onto all your crops will grant them full resistance against Weeds, as well as preventing Weed to grow on empty crops.

Rumors regarding the negative effects of overusing WeedEx yet have to be evaluated, and the spreading of said rumors will be met with prompt dismissal of the offending employee.

Our mentally unstable artists asked us to pass on this "blueprint" to you for an unknown reason:

WeedEx:

R<br>
G<br>
Request: More Sprites / Permissions to add sprites
I'm a bit tired of seeing the wiki not being up to date and I'm doing something about it - adding in the new recipes and methods for each machine. While I was editing the wiki pages, I found that a number of sprites were missing for various items from IC2/Minecraft for the crafting/result grids. If someone wants to add the sprites for these items or show me where I went wrong, that'd be awesome! :) Otherwise, could I please have permission to add them myself? Also, standardisation regarding names so that the wiki sprites are named the same as the items are called in game would be great. I went through a lot of shenanigans sorting out ingots.

Here's a list of the sprites I'm after:

- Block of coal
- Lapis Lazuli
- Silver Ingot
- Crushed Uranium Ore (can't seem to find it anywhere)
- Obsidian Dust
- Block of redstone
- Quartz (block)
- Nether Quartz
- Sandstone
- Ice
- Poisonous Potato
Crops are the result of planting an item in the crop block. The Crop is shown ingame as four wooden stilts that can only be placed on tilled dirt. You can plant Wheat, Watermelon, Pumpkin, Reeds, Yellow Flowers, and Roses in the crop block. Plants in a crop block cannot be grown instantly with bonemeal and will instead just speed up the process. Fertilizer can be used for a better effect of this. Seeds are also proven to be the same affect as bonemeal in wheat crops

Once a plant is fully grown it can be right-clicked to be harvested without destroying the plant. Left clicking the plant will break it and if fully grown, has a chance to drop a Seed Bag. If there is no plant in the crop block, weeds will grow, which will spread to adjacent plants and kill them. If an empty crop block is right-clicked while holding another crop block, it will turn into a crossbreeder, which cannot be planted in.

If there are at least two plants adjacent to the crossbreeder, it will combine their traits to make a hybrid plant.

If weeds are a problem you do not wish to deal with, then you can spray your crop blocks with Weed-EX to prevent them appearing. Be careful, however, putting too much Weed-EX can make your crops less efficent than they were

For some assistance while you're off mining, the Crop-Matron can be used to watch over your crops as they grow.

Welcome to Apertura Agricultures.

Starting today, you will start a new life in our dedicated Crop Enrichment Center, spending all your free, reserved and eventually paid time on discovering, breeding and analyzing new plants and their uses for this concern. If you succeed or at least do your job with best effort, you will be granted a life among the noble upperclass. If you fail... there are still some free jobs in the "Bio-Organic Fertilizer Developement"-Section.

Starting with the basics, you'll need to craft/buy/aqquire/steal a set of what will be referred to as "Crop(sticks)". This term is not to be confused with the crop used in disciplinary measures against unwilling employees.
Create these cropsticks by arranging a few common sticks in this shape:

X_X<br>
X_X<br>
___

Always remember; our guide artists are considered mentally-unstable and may take critique of their work as a personal offense, to which they may react with the excessive usage of explosives or firearms. Please don't be afraid by this and still state anything about the graphics and recipe displays of this guide. Your statement will, of course with your name, a picture and your physical address, be transmitted to the given mentally-unstably artist.

After succeeding in this incredible difficult task and proving your IQ does not equal 0, you may continue by preparing the basic soil for your cropxperiments. Please be advised, the term cropxperiments is copyrighted by Apertura Agricultures and may only be used within the PR department. Any un-permitted use of this term will be reported to mentally-unstable artists.
Cropsticks can only be planted on pre-tilled soil. All cropsticks handed to you by the control staff are complex machines with sensors refusing to be placed anywhere but in tilled soil.
Placing these cropsticks should prove easy for you, if it doesnt, remember to press them down with your RIGHT hand until it does 'click'.

Congratulations on your first successfull cropstick-installation. As a sign of gratification you will receive a cookie at the end of your work shift. Please remember your work shift being a 24/7 employment for the next 45 years.

Construction Foam (CF) is a quick and effective construction material for defending against mobs. Players are able to break the foam easily before it hardens, but broken foam cannot be harvested.

Players, mobs, and animals can walk through foam until it fully hardens, but the risk of suffocation or getting stuck in a new wall is high.

Usage
Using the CF Sprayer will place a glob of multiple blocks of Construction Foam. Using Wooden Scaffolding will allow you to arrange the CF into desired shapes. By spraying CF onto Iron Scaffolding, the Construction Foam will harden into Reinforced Stone instead of normal CF Walls.

Construction Foam can also cover and harden around a placed cable, creating a block that functions as a cable but looks like a CF wall. When a CF-covered cable block is mined, the CF block is destroyed the cable remains.

After it's sprayed, it will eventually turn into a solid Construction Foam Wall, which is explosion resistant and paintable with the Painter.
With an explosion resistance of 60, hardened CF Walls will resist TNT, Industrial TNT, and Creepers, but Reinforced Stone is a better choice for protecting against things like nuclear reactor explosions and lasers.

Construction Foam blocks harden at varying rates. CF hardens at 0.6% per 25 seconds, per light level. CF placed in total darkness will never solidify.
Right-clicking on foam with a block of sand will cause the foam to harden instantly, consuming the sand in the process.

The CF Sprayer uses 100mB of Construction Foam per block. Therefore, one CF Powder can spray ten blocks of CF. The CF Sprayer's capacity can be increased with the use of a CFPack.

Recipe
To make Construction Foam, craft CF Powder and enrich 1000mB of water into 1000 mB of Fluid Construction Foam in the Canning Machine. Fluid Construction Foam can then be stored in the CF Sprayer or CFPack.
The Solar Distiller is a utility block that turns water into distilled water through evaporation and condensation (not to be confused with the Condenser). Distilled water is a plus when used in the Steam Generator as it prevents calcification in the machine. Use fluid ejector upgrades, pumps, or pipes with pump attachments to dispense the distilled water. You may also use cells with a hopper, ejector upgrade, or adjacent machine with the pulling upgrade. If you use a hopper/ejector upgrade/pulling upgrade, and you supply water via cells, the Solar Distiller will export both empty cells (from the left side, after draining the water) and distilled water cells.

As its name implies, the Solar Distiller must have an open view to the sky directly above it during the daytime to operate. When operational, it converts Water to Distilled Water at a rate of about 1 millibucket (mB) per 3.5 seconds, creating a full bucket of Distilled Water in about 1 real-life hour (6 in-game day cycles).
The Solar Distiller is a utility block that turns water into distilled water through evaporation and condensation (not to be confused with the Condenser). Distilled water is a plus when used in the Steam Generator as it prevents calcification in the machine. Use the fluid ejector upgrades to dispense the distilled water. The distiller also accepts the ejector upgrade.

The batch crafter is a method of automatic crafting in IC2.

Usage
To set up a crafting recipe, drag the desired block into the 3x3 crafting grid, if it creates a valid recipe then the product will be displayed when the required items are added to the batch crafter's inventory (either by the player or with ejector/pulling upgrades, other mod's pipes etc.), and power is supplied the batch crafter will craft the item. The Batch Crafter is a Tier 1 machine which, without any Transformer Upgrade, can be inputted 32 EU/t at most.

The Coke Kiln is a multiblock structure used to produce Coal Coke and Creosote Oil from Coal. It takes about two minutes[need to time it] to turn one coal into one coal coke, with 500mB of creosote oil as a byproduct.

Neither charcoal nor coal blocks seem to work with the Coke Kiln. Only plain old coal.

Compared to coal, coal coke burns twice as long. 1 coal coke will produce 8,000 EU in a Generator at 10EU/t, or 16,000 hU in a Solid Fuel Firebox at 20hU/t. 500mB of Creosote Oil will produce 1,500 EU in a Semifluid Generator at 8EU/t. Creosote doesn't seem to work with Liquid Fueled Fireboxes.

Crafting
You will need the following materials:
|| Brick || x104
|| Clay || x104
|| Iron Plate || x1
|| Iron Trapdoor || x1

You will also need water for crafting. I recommend having 26 Universal Fluid Cells filled with water ( x26), but you can make do with fewer cells or even a single vanilla bucket. You will keep the cells/bucket.

Now that all the materials are assembled, craft 26 Refractory Bricks. You can use any source of water in the middle, but I recommend using Universal Fluid Cells because they stack.

Use three of those to craft one Coke Kiln, one Coke Kiln Hatch, and one Coke Kiln Grate.

Now you should have everything you need to build the Coke Kiln structure:
|| Coke Kiln || x1
|| Coke Kiln Grate || x1
|| Coke Kiln Hatch || x1
|| Refractory Bricks || x23

Now we can start building.

The structure itself takes up 3 cubic meters. Coal will have to come in through the top. Coal coke comes out of the side and creosote oil goes out the bottom, but neither output is automatic. I used Small Bronze Pipes and a Pump Attachment (LV) to pump the creosote out the bottom grate. A Pump or a Canning Machine with a Fluid Pulling Upgrade will work, too. You can use Hoppers or Item Buffers to put coal in the top hatch. A Compact Item Buffer with a Pulling Upgrade can automatically pull coal coke from the Coke Kiln block.

Once you've made space, place the Coke Kiln Grate. The grate will face you, I recommend using the Wrench (New) to make it face down.

Surround the Coke Kiln Grate with eight Refractory Bricks, to fill out the bottom layer.

For the second layer, place the Coke Kiln itself on the middle of one side. It doesn't matter which side you chose, but the Coke Kiln should be facing you. Fill out the rest of the sides with Refractory Bricks, but leave the middle block empty.

For the third and final layer, you must place the Coke Kiln Hatch in the middle, surrounded by the eight remaining Refractory Blocks. The Coke Kiln Hatch will face you when you place it, but you can use a wrench to make it face up.

Viola, your Coke Kiln is finished!

You can go further by placing a Compact Item Buffer to pull coal cokes from the Coke Kiln, and to eject items up to an Electric Sorting Machine that sends coal to the hatch and coal cokes somewhere else, like Solid Fuel Fireboxes or Generators. The creosote oil can be fed to a Semifluid Generator; Coke Kilns are slow enough that you can use one Semifluid Generator to handle creosote from multiple Coke Kilns.
