I have a small community server running IC2 and BC, and when RP2 comes out with the ores compatible with IC's then it will be added. My goal is a small community of players that are quality players, no greifers of course, and thought that this would help out a lot. If I run into any griefers I'll let you guys know, this is awesome.

Thanks for the consideration,
Have you ever been bugged by Creepers blowing up your Solar Panels while you were cleaning them? Couldn't bother to dig a Anti-Creeper trench?

Then use this, the ultimate, low-cost, high-efficiency, lazy-guy way of keeping your house&home safe: Force Fields!

A Force Field Generator will, upon receiving power, instantly convert all energy delivered to create a giant dome of pure Energy around your house, in a cube-like sphere.

Even better: The more energy you supply, up to 256 EUs, the bigger the dome will become. Bigger = Better = Win = Creeper sad

As well, you could apply redstone to the ForceField Generator to temporarily shut it off without removing any wires.

Now, we assume your base is shielded and you just come back from some logging... but how do you get back in?

For this reason, you can use the FreqTrans to remotely open a gap in the shield dome: To do this, you'll need to store the Field Generators frequency by right-clicking it (BEFORE you leave the dome, obviously!).

Then, you can at any time click one of the 6 gate-shield blocks to open up the shield wall and disable the Field Generator temporarily.

The gate-shield blocks are located once on each side of the cube, always on the same axis as the Field Generator.

We are juristically forced to state: The shield dome is NOT impenetrable, though extremely resistant and extraordinary fast regenerating destroyed blocks.
As well, contact with the dome shield is not recommended.
The Water Mill produces EU by either having a Water Bucket placed in its lower slot, or being surrounded by running or standing water.
Place Water Buckets in the lower slot (or place the Water Mill inside water), and optionally an RE Battery in the upper slot. The Water Mill will charge the battery or output power at a rate of 4 EU/s (manned) or 0.014 EU/s per block of adjacent water (This has been changed as of IC 8.00. The current value is higher than .014, but is unknown as to it's exact value.) (unmanned).

Storage: None

Output (Manned): 840 EU per bucket of water supplied at a rate of 4 EU/s

Output (Unmanned): 0.014 EU/s per block of adjacent water (See Detailed Mechanics)

Water Towers
A Water Mill on its own will produce very little EU if left unmanned, even when completely surrounded in water. So it's better to build compact clusters of them. A 'water tower' is one of many methods.

Side view: Top view:

Note the Switch Cable in the center of each cluster of 4 Water Mills and also the one just before the MFE.

This is a repeatable design, more sections can be added to the top as required.
The missing Water Mill in the diagram is to prevent contacting the next section of the tower above.

For best results, contain the tower sections so that there's at least a one block layer of water around it.

It's also possible to cluster multiple towers into one 'container'.

Detailed Mechanics
A Water Mill only uses water that directly surrounds it (a 3x3x3 box with the Water Mill in the center). Each block of water adds roughly 0.014 EU/s to its overall output.

Using the water tower design from above will result in each Water Mill being surrounded by 21 water blocks like so:

21 * 0.014 = roughly 0.29 EU/s from each watermill, meaning roughly 3.2 EU/s from each tower section (11 watermills)

Some notes about the behavior of some Water Mills that were studied:
- Water Mills can 'share' the same water block with seemingly no effect.
- Using flowing water instead of still water had no noticeable effect.
- A Water Mill suspended over water will still react to the water below it even though the watermill
is not visibly touching the water.
The Canning Machine puts food into Tin Cans, which unlike normal food, can be stacked up to 64.

The Canning Machine doesn't require EUs to operate, and thus, does not need to be powered by wires or RE Batteries. To start canning, put the food you want to can in the upper slot and the cans in the lower slot to start canning.

Different foods fill a different number of cans, depending on the type of food. The Food List details the different amounts of cans generated for each type of food.
Mining Pipe
This is the basic pipe, and when placed in a Miner, is used to extract any blocks and ores

This is the base pipe for upgrading to Diamond-tipped Pipe, ITNT Pipe, and Extractor Pipes.

Diamond-tipped Pipe
Diamond-tipped Pipes, when used, double the speed of harvesting, thus halving the energy cost of the Miner

They perform the same functions as the Mining Pipe, with the addition of being able to also harvest obsidian

ITNT Pipe
Like my grandmother always said: "It's BOOMstick-time!". Just with less stick and more boom.

ITNT pipes will not actively search for ore, but just dig straight down (still harvesting everything in their way).

Upon retracting them, every 3rd We do not guarantue our products being able to count to 3, there may be random occurings ITNT Pipe will EXPLODE. Now, not literally.

Actually, just the ITNT charge INSIDE of the pipe will explode, leaving a neat hole. Then the, of course fully unharmed, pipe will be withdrawn and ejected as Mining Pipe.

Not really the most efficient way for harvesting ore, but surely the most interesting and space-generating one. And it's good for BOOMSTICK-TIME, HAYO!

Extractor Pipe
Did you ever ran out of fuel for your Geothermal Generator because buckets seem to only take a small percentage of the lava and make the rest disappear? We solved this issue!

Our patented, 100% lava-proof, wood-made Extractor Pipes will ignore all the useless ore, and dig straight (down) for valuable liquids, like water and, especially, lava.

Due to advanced refinement methods, the extraction will even yield in FIVE filled buckets per block of liquid. "FIVE" is not a defined number, but a steady and semi-random variable.

Actual liquid yield cannot be calculated and may vary. As well, liquids can only be stored in empty buckets, located in chests placed next to a miner.

A good example for a high-yield, extremely-efficient and especially-industrial-looking mining area can be found via this link.
Generators are used to either direct power to machines or charge Batteries. Fueling a generator is done via placing charcoal or coal into bottom slot, and optionally placing the Battery into the top slot.

While costly in terms of fuel, basic generators are also one of the most mobile power sources, and don't suffer the drawbacks of requiring sunlight, water, lava, or proper wind as the case is with the other types of generators.
Reinforced Stone Doors can be used to gain entry to any buildings you may have built using reinforced stone, while still maintaining the strength and integrity of the building. They act like regular Iron Doors, and require some form of switch or plate to open them.
The Automated Miner requires two things to run: Energy and Mining Pipes.

Loading pipes into the miner is done by placing the amount you wish to drill down into the top slot. It places one pipe each level and while doing this, it looks for ores with the integrated ODE Device.

When ores are found, it will start to dig to them and then mine them. All harvested ores will then be transported through the Mining Pipe and

ejected on the Surface, next to the Miner.

The miner mines all ores in an 5x5 block area around it.

Put some Mining Pipes in the upper slot and an energy source (of course we recommend you our T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Unit here, as well) in the lower one.

Now the Miner will start it's operation, digging and planting Mining Pipes below him, as well as using the integrated ODE Device to scan for nearby ores.

Once detected, the Miner will dig to the detected ore and harvest it. But it can't mine impenetrable objects (f.e. Obsidian).

Then it will stop mining and the "Operation-Bar will staying full without any harvesting.

Once you've stripped the entire area, you can just put any sort of block into the upper slot.

The Miner will then start WITHDRAWING all laid Mining Pipes and replace them with the filling material (of the upper slot).

This way, you will never "consume" Mining Pipes. If the Miner stops operating in this mod, it has withdrawn all pipes and can be recollected for placing it on a new location.
Also, what is our stance on some of the 'secret' recipes? I know Alblaka has expressed that he doesn't want them revealed, but I also feel that if we take a more objective bent to our pages then we have a duty to reveal all information - see for instance the 'secret' Faith rune on http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Runecraft Lhowon 14:37, 27 April 2011 (CEST)
Part of what makes http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki (the Minecraft wiki) so easy to read are the templates that host images and brief descriptions about blocks and items as well as those show-casing recipes on the crafting table and the furnace as well. I learned almost everything I needed to know about Minecraft from their wiki before I even purchased the game. They are the ones I try to emulate in my posts, I hope you would agree with me that they do things pretty well.
:*Look, I am aiming for the benefit of the IC users. This is not all about you, me, this wiki, or Alblaka.
:*Believe it or not, I am trying to help. I am trying to see if I can transfer my work to this space (easier for you and I both, not to mention taking attention away from an already nearly-completed wiki) or if you would have me start over from scratch (meaning I would not feel any need to move away from the sub-wiki space). If you take a moment to look at this from my perspective, I made my first significant online contribution ever because I saw a void and wanted to fill it. It took me 3 weeks of hard, hard work. Hopefully you can see I don't want that to go to waste, whether that's adding that work to what you have here or maintaining the sub-wiki until this official one is up to full-speed. - Jasperzorin 19:32, 15 April 2011 (CEST)
|-
|Now, Minecraft has three Elements.
Mine, mine and craft.

1. Mine = it's YOUR world

2. Mine = mine ressources

3. Craft = craft things

Which one is the major point is left open for discussion. However, for ME the main point is MINING and CRAFTING.

Therefore, i created a mod that enhanches both:

Industrial Crafts adds various new blocks, items and devices, supposed to advance the industrial aspect of Minecraft to the next level. You get better Furnances, new fuels, electric energy and some more stuff further explained below.

All new add-ons are supposed to be balanced and should usually be balanced, as well. If you think some parts of the mod are just overpowered, post it here, discuss it and it will may be changed.

Please take note, that this is a Tier 2 Mod. Tier 2 means, quite all new blocks/items/recipes are not useable right at the start of a new world, but take quite a decent amount of ressources. You can, of course, start a new world, but if you want to test the new thingies right away, i recommend loading a advanced world (where you already possess some ressources).

However, keep in mind that a loaded world will be modified and cannot be used without the mod anymore (make some Backups). As well, you will need to explore new chunks and build new mines to find Tin/Copper Ore, as it needs new chunks to be generated.

|}

You need some Support?

You want to make a Suggestion?
:*That is not the sub-wiki link, that is THE Minecraft wiki link.
! width="1%" style="background-color:#89ade8" |What's this?
|-
|Now, Minecraft has three Elements.

|}

You need some Support?

You want to make a Suggestion?

|}

I was just wondering if the main focus of this wiki is to be Alblaka's words, which can be read on his forum post, or more clearly defined, less humorous specifics about the content of his IC mod? Jasperzorin 18:12, 15 April 2011 (CEST)
I am also curious, if much of the content is supplied from Alblaka's post, then it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of use to the wiki.
Templates
Part of what makes http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki (the Minecraft wiki) so easy to read are the templates that host images and brief descriptions about blocks and items as well as those show-casing recipes on the crafting table and the furnace as well.
Wiki Content
I was just wondering if the main focus of this wiki is to be Alblaka's words, which can be read on his forum post, or more clearly defined, less humorous specifics about the content of his IC mod? Jasperzorin 18:12, 15 April 2011 (CEST)

I am also curious, if much of the content is supplied from Alblaka's post, then it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of use to the wiki.
Templates
Part of what makes http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki (the Minecraft wiki) so easy to read are the templates that host images and brief descriptions about blocks and items as well as those show-casing recipes on the crafting table and the furnace as well. Are there plans to add template functionality to this wiki? Jasperzorin 18:12, 15 April 2011 (CEST)
:*That is not the sub-wiki link, that is THE Minecraft wiki link.

Carbon Plates are the most essential Ressource for Nanosuits. As well as... Energy Crystals!
Why to use Crystals in an armor?

Now, for Energy storage, of course!

Energy Storage?

Didn't we tell you already, the Nanosuit runs on ENERGY and takes most of his protective ability from an ENERGY SHIELD! HAYO!

Of course, for effectively using and recharging a Nanosuit, you will need Batterys and a Mobile Charger, don't forget that!

Note: Atm the recipes are in a test phase, thus you can upgrade the Nano Suit by just placing it in a crafting window.
And if that wasn't even enough, you can additionally further UPGRADE your ultimately cool Nano Suit into an even MORE ultimately cool ADVANCED Nano Suit.
Actually, that seems to be all you can do. I didn't really notice anything special about it at all.
Probably i should have tried pressing a ConTRoL key or something...
