Of course, you can now complain about the energy hunger of "a simple tool". But yet, did you realise that the D-765 Mining Drill is completely unbreakable?!

Yes, it can run out of fuel, but it will NEVER EVER break(it will, however, burn in fire or lava.)! That's a promise for lifetime!

And if you possibly got some spare diamonds at hand, or just recently crafted some, you can now make an efficient and economic use of them:

Just combine them with the standard version of the D-765 Mining Drill and you will get an amazing device called the D-765 "Diamond Drill", whose mining speed is even faster than the speed of light!

You say it isn't? Of course it is! Do you think we would ever lie to you?!

HAYO!
}}

Charging
This tool may be charged using a Generator of any kind or MFE/MFSU/BatBox. Alternatively, it can receive power from a Bat-Pack.It can also be recharged by right-clicking while holding a battery (hold right-click until it fully charges)

Trivia
* Without a Bat-Pack, it can mine 120 ground blocks before needing charged.
* It can mine obsidian and Reinforced Stone.

The Multi-Functional Electric storage unit, or MFE, is a Tier 2 energy storage device. It is able to store up to 600,000 EU. It can accept up to 128 EU-Packet power, with unlimited EU/t, from its 5 input faces and output 128 EU-Packet power, with a max of 128EU/t, from its output face.

Like all storage units, its output face is marked by a special texture, which usually faces the player when the block is placed. The direction of the output face can be changed by right-clicking with a Bronze Wrench onto any of the input faces of the block; normally, this will point the output face towards the player, but holding Shift while clicking will point the output face in the opposite direction. Be aware that right-clicking the MFE Unit while pointing at its output face will dismantle it.

You can set the redstone behavior by clicking the redstone button on the top left of the GUI.

PROTIP: Do NOT use Copper Cable on the output face because Copper cable cannot handle more than 32 EU.
Note for wiki users: Do NOT change the "Golden cable" to "Copper cable" in the recipes. Since IC2 1.97, MFE's are crafted with GOLDEN cable. This is not a mistake.
This device seems to have small issue.
You can not use it so that you gather energy from up and then send it down, it simply don't do it... - Arxroth 05:28, 12 June 2011 (CEST)

I don't believe this is a bug, as the MFE will take input from any of the four sides, then direct it either through the top or bottom. - Eyekantspel 09:56, 12 June 2011 (CEST)
Word of Warning.
I thought to add a word of Warning for everyone.

If you manage to make energy source that excess the 128EU/t rate, be warned, you have to place a LV transformer before any devices you are going to use.
I learned this hard way and something went up in smoke.

Redstone settings mean what?
I set up my MFE and told it to "Emit when partially filled" and it'll light up redstone if it's less than full, but also not empty. But it will NO LONGER emit power via cables. This seems to be independent of having any redstone connections. What gives? --Draco18s 18:10, 12 May 2012 (CEST)
