The QuantumSuit Leggings are a new type of armor introduced in IC². They are extremely powerful, but also extremely expensive, having Iridium Plates as one of their components. Charged Leggings allow the user to run extremely fast (approximately 3.4 times faster) until discharged. To activate the Quantum-Suit's special abilities, hold Ctrl while moving.
Recharging
The QuantumSuit Leggings, like all other pieces of QuantumSuit, store up to 1 million EU, and can only be recharged in an MFS Unit.
Interaction with Ice
Once your shiny new QuantumSuit Leggings have become your favourite method of transportation and you're immune to fall damage thanks to your QuantumSuit Boots, it's time to show Vegeta who's really over 9000: Create a nice little track of about 10 ice blocks in a row, place yourself at one end, activate your suit and accelerate across the ice. Right at the end, jump and loudly yell HAYO! as you get closer and closer to the stars!
Note that IndustrialCraft² cannot be held responsible for injuries incurred when jumping into walls and/or mountains as you clearly did not yell HAYO! loudly enough to shatter the obstacle.

The Macerator is an all purpose grinding machine, capable of breaking down many ores and other items into their base components.

For example, the Macerator turns one Tin Ore to two Tin Dust, each of which can be smelted into a Tin Ingot.

It uses either a direct Cable connection or an energy storage item (Single-use Battery or RE Battery).
HV cables are the highest tier conventional cables. They can tolerate High Voltage (512 EU/s) and Extreme Voltage (2048 EU/s), but have an extremely high distance-related energy loss. HV cables can have 3 different levels of insulation. Considering that a shock from a poorly insulated HV cable will most likely prove fatal, it is recommended to insulate them well unless the cable is located in a completely unreachable area. Even then, insulation should be applied to reduce the massive energy losses.
