The Filled Fuel Can is a portable energy source that can be used to fuel [[Generator]]s.

A [[Fuel Can (Empty)]] can be filled with either [[Coalfuel Cell|liquified Coal fuel]] or [[Biofuel Cell|Biofuel]]. It requires a total of 6 to fill a single can.

It provides [[EU]] when used in a Generator. See the [[Generator]] page for details.
== HAYO ==

Now, sometimes you just need the good ol' Mr. Diesel. For this sake, we adjusted our machines to be capable of producing it, the famous '''Octanium C++ Fuel''',
brought to you in sweet [[Tin]] Canisters. Its heat generation power is roughly 1800% bigger then coal. CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE IT?! OVER 1000% OMG!

And to create it, you just need our three devices from above! And for this reason: Buy them all now, and get a '''[[RE Battery|T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Unit]] FOR FREE!'''

Or just craft them, your choice.

To create [[Fuel]], you need.. now... raw oil.

HAH! You fell for it!

Oil is a seriously rare and even further diminishing resource; only fools would create something from oil!

So, we present you a new way to create [[Fuel]]: with coal!

First of all, you need to turn a raw piece of a coal into a more useful form. Use our '''[[Macerator|Maceratron-E-901]]''' to turn this useless piece of coal into some really high-quality [[Coal Dust|coal dust]].

In the next step, mix the coal dust with some water. Why? Because the result is supposed to be LIQUID fuel, not dusty one.

Now drop the [[Hydrated Coal Dust|hydrated coal dust]] into the '''[[Compressor|Freakin' Compress-O-Matic C77]]''' to create a compressed piece of hydrated coal dust.

With the 3 pieces of [[Compressed Hydrated Coal Dust]] (and a few [[Tin]] ingots) you can now craft a sweet ''Fuel'' can.

Actually not now, but later. First, you need some C-600 Capsule Cell Containers, or [[Empty Cell|cell]]s, for short. When you make them, you'll have to fill them with the [[Compressed Hydrated Coal Dust]] you made before.

Of course, we're not done yet, as you don't have ''Fuel'', but just some ''Fuel'' [[Empty Cell|cell]]s with some clumps of coal in it.

To correct this issue, throw all the cells into our '''[[Extractor|Dejuicer-Device of Doom - D123]]'''. I don't know how it does that, but for some reason it will extract the burnable fluids from the coal and fill the [[Empty Cell|cell]]s, resulting in some sweet full cells of ''Fuel'', ready to be filled into ''Fuel Cans'', whenever you wish it.

This, of course, has to be crafted first. The F-29 [[Fuel Can (Empty)]] is made of tin. You can get the crafting blueprint somewhere else. So, when you get it, combine several tin ingots to craft a FRIKKIN' EMPTY ''FUEL'' CAN! HAYO!

'''It will even turn green for no apparent reason! ISN'T THAT AMAZING!?'''

So you have an empty green ''fuel'' can and some cells filled with ''fuel'' now. What to do with it? Eat it? NO! Get yourself an [[Canning Machine|Unmobile Food Canning Machine GTA-4]], preferably buy it, put your ''fuel'' cells into the top slot, the ''fuel'' can into the bottom one, power it up, and watch your fuel flowing into the can!

'''HAYO!'''

On <s>order</s> request of the <s>government</s> few customers, we further expanded our product palette and added an even more economic way to create ''Fuel''!

Instead of converting coal into stuff to put into the [[Tin]] cans, we found that bunching up some saplings or seeds seems to be an applicable replacement, as well.

Of course, ''Fuel'' generated this way is MUCH less productive then coal-based ''Fuel'', but hey, it's for the greenies!

<span style="color:red">'''Attention:'''
Do not try to adulterate coal ''Fuel'' with plant ''Fuel''. We do not take any responsibility for any <s>lethal explosions</s> incidents may caused by combined usage of plants and coal to craft [[Tin Can|tin cans]]!</span>

<span style="color:red">As well, do not try to mix coal ''Fuel'' with further ingredients to craft some sort of advanced super ''Fuel''; it is not possible, not even if you take some normal ''Fuel'' cells and add light, energy and explosives in the GTA-4! Instead, take this cake, which is for sure a <s>lie</s> not a lie.</span>
== Uranium physics (v1.106+) ==
Used variables:
*n: Nearby uranium cells (by "nearby" I mean one slot horizontally or vertically)
*p: Amount of pulses this reactor tick
*h: Heat produced this reactor tick
*e: Energy produced this reactor tick
*c: Amount of cells in this item

A uranium cell will always pulse once plus the amount of cells that are directly adjacent (and contain uranium):

*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">P = 1 + N</span>

Addition: To compensate Dual ''(C = 2)'' Or Quad ''(C = 4)'' cells you should use:

*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">P = 1 + (C / 2) + N<span>

A single Uranium Cell will always create Heat and Energy based on how often it pulses per reactor tick:

*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">H = 2 * P * (P + 1)</span>
*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">E = 5 * P</span>

Addition: To compensate for Dual and Quad cells you should use:

*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">H = 2 * C * P * (P + 1)</span>
*<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; font-size: 1.3em">E = 5 * C * P </span>

== Coolant physics in 1.106+ ==
As uranium reactions produce heat and coolant is what you need to not let your reactor melt. In order to do so you can use one of these:
*The coolant cell. There are 3 types of coolant cells which can store up to 10K, 30K or 60K heat and you can get that heat out again. Be careful tough, as it will break when being heated beyond the max heat value.
*The condensator. There are 2 types of the condensator, the RSH (20K) and the LZH (100K). They are pretty much coolant cells but can store more heat, will not break when reaching their heat cap but you can still get the heat out again.
Additionally you can "repair" them using redstone (and lapis for the LZH). Redstone fills up a RSH by 10K a LZH by 5K and lapis fills a LZH by 40K.
*If you want to heat the reactor instead, you can use a heating cell. They stack to 64 and heat every adjacent component by stack size until it reaches stack size * 1000.

== Heat switch physics in 1.106+ ==
Heat switches distribute the heat of themselves, the reactor and the nearby components, until they all have the same heat compared to their respective max heat.

Used Variables:
*Tm: max heat
*Ts: side heat transfer rate
*Tr: reactor heat transfer rate

There are 4 types of heat switches or heat exchangers:
*The (normal) heat exchanger.
**Tm = 2500
**Ts = 12
**Tr = 4

*The advanced heat exchanger, which is just the upgraded version of the normal one.
**Tm = 10000
**Ts = 24
**Tr = 8

== Heat vent physics in 1.106+ ==
Heat vents are basically heat switches that additionally cool themselves down. They will however not give their heat away by themselves, you have to take it away using other elements. There are 5 types of heat vents that are similar to the heat switches except for the overclocked one as it is new:
Used Variables:
*Tm: max heat
*Tr: reactor heat transfer rate
*Tc: the self cooling rate

The types of switches are as follows:
*The (basic) heat vent that only vents heat it has stored.
**Tm = 1000
**Tr = 0
**Tc = 6

*The advanced heat vent which is again a better version of the basic one.
**Tm = 1000
**Tr = 0
**Tc = 12

*The overclocked heat vent which is the fastest but also gets destroyed pretty fast if it always finds heat.
**Tm = 1000
**Tr = 36
**Tc = 20

*The reactor heat vent takes the heat only out of the reactor again.
**Tm = 1000
**Tr = 5
**Tc = 5

*The component heat vent takes the heat only out of components again.
**Special case: it removes 4 heat from every nearby component each tick and can not store heat.

'''Uranium''' can be obtained by mining [[#Ore|Uranium Ore]]. It can be crushed, washed and centrifuged to create [[#Uranium-235|Uranium-235]] and [[#Uranium-238|Uranium-238]], which can be further used in nuclear engineering. Most forms of Uranium are radioactive, so in order to safely interact with it you must wear a [[Hazmat Suit|HAZMAT Suit]]. A notable exception is the [[#Uranium-235|Uranium-238 Block]]. Uranium is also one of the few resources which cannot be [[:Tutorial:Replication|Replicated]].

==Ore==

Uranium naturally generates in the overworld as '''Uranium Ore'''.
To mine Uranium Ore you need at least an ''Iron Pickaxe''.
It is found between layers 0 and 64, usually in groups of up to
2 blocks.

==Processing==

To use Uranium in nuclear fission, we need to increase the concentration of the fissile [[#Uranium-235|Uranium-235]].
Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to separate the Uranium-235 from the more common (but
less useful) [[#Uranium-238|Uranium-238]]. Exposing natural Uranium to the high powered lasers in a [[Thermal Centrifuge]]
should do the trick; however, this will require the ore to be [[Macerator|crushed]] and preferably [[Ore Washing Plant|cleaned]].

The second way yields much more uranium!

==Uranium-235==

'''Uranium-235''' is the more useful part of Uranium ore, however, it only accounts for 2.7-4.25% of natural Minecraftian Uranium (in real life, only about 0.72%). This is the part which sustains the fission chain reaction; it is <i>highly</i> radioactive. Uranium-235, in sufficient quantity, can sustain fission even when being enriched with the common and non-fissile Uranium-238. The result is an even more useful beta-decayed Uranium-238, also known as [[Plutonium|Plutonium-239]].
==Uranium-238==

'''Uranium-238''' is the most common isotope of Uranium. Uranium-238 alone cannot sustain a nuclear fission chain reaction, which is why it is enriched with Uranium-235.
95.75-97.3% of natural Minecraftian Uranium consists of Uranium-238. The isotope itself is still radioactive, unless bundled into a large form. Our scientists
still cannot explain this phenomenon, but there are a few HAYO-ish rumors involving tiny radioactive-eating bees... Don't ask me.
==Enrichment==

Our best scientists have come to the conclusion that the magic ratio is 3:54. So,
to enrich the Uranium and prep it for Fuel Rods, put those isotopes together in this formation:

{{Grid/Crafting Table
|A1=Uranium 238|B1=Uranium 238|C1=Uranium 238
|Output=Enriched Uranium Nuclear Fuel
}}

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/browse/industrial_craft_2/enriched_uranium_nuclear_fuel Crafting Guide]

Now that you have ''Enriched Uranium Nuclear Fuel'', use a [[Canning Machine]] to fill an
[[Fuel Rod (Empty)|Empty Fuel Rod]]. You should end up with a useable [[Fuel Rod (Uranium)|Uranium Fuel Rod]],
which can be placed directly inside the reactor.

Are you tired of your wooden boats always snapping into pieces in the slightest of winds? Find ocean travel boring? Got a need for speed? Then you need a better Boat! Industrial Boats come in 3 varieties: the Rubber Dinghy, the Carbon Fibre Canoe, and the Electric Boat.
The Rubber Dinghy is the cheapest of the 3 Industrial Boats, requiring only a few bits of [[Rubber]]. Like the vanilla wooden boat, it will break and dismantle whenever it hits a surface, however instead of returning sticks and planks, it will return a Damaged Rubber Dinghy, which can be re-crafted with a single piece of Rubber back into a useable Rubber Dinghy!
Unlike all other boats, the amazing Carbon Fibre Canoe is COMPLETELY INDESTRUCTIBLE!* This means that you can smash it into as many beaches, lily pads and alligators as you like, the Carbon Fibre Canoe won't take a scratch! HAYO!

*warning: we are not held responsible for any damaged caused by riding the Carbon Fibre Canoe into Lava or Void.

The Electric Boat works mostly like a vanilla boat, chugging through the water at a decent pace, although it drop itself once you crash, which is nice I guess. Well, that's all well and good, but what if we give it some '''power'''? Wearing an energy storage device in your chestplate slot, like a [[Batpack]] or [[Energypack]], will cause the boat to drain energy from it and propel you forward at supersonic speed! Doing this will consume about 100 EU per block travelled, so even a measly Batpack will last you 600 blocks!

Right clicking a machine with the wrench equipped will make its output side face the player. Holding shift while right clicking will make the output side face opposite the player. To use the Wrench to remove a machine, simply right-click the machine. Any items or energy stored in the machine will be lost when it is dismantled.
'''The Wrench's removing mechanic will override the machine's interface.''' Don't hold a wrench when you want to use your machines!

Without the Superwrench 100% mod, there is a chance (Aprox 70-90% success rate) that when you do, the machine will not be successfully removed and instead you'll be left with a gutted [[Machine Block]].

To dismantle a transformer or a storage block right-click its output/selected face.
Right-clicking any other face of a transformer or a storage block will move its output/selected face to the side you are clicking.
Clicking while sneaking will move the output/selected face to the opposite side.
For those looking for an extremely more durable treetap, see [[Electric Treetap]].

Outside of being used to extract resin from trees, the '''Treetap''' can also be used to extract the liquid contents of a [[Booze Barrel]], to be put into [[Stone Mug]]s. Each pellet loaded in allows two uses of the sprayer.
Usage of CFPack allow you to skip manual refilling and hold up to 129 pellets ready.

== Hints ==

If using a CF Sprayer to spray on a [[Scaffold]] it will replace the [[Scaffold]] with construction foam.
So you can use a scaffolds in combination with Construction Foam to create walls (etc.) without the need to break unnecessary, left-over construction foam.

The scaffolds are dropped if replaced by construction foam.

As of 1.70, CF will cover and harden around placed cables, allowing one to hide ugly wiring with pretty CF walls. Note that this will not otherwise affect the effect of sprayed CF.
The Forge Hammer is used to craft metal plates out of ingots and casings out of plates. It acts just like a [[Metal Former|metal former]] on "Rolling" mode. It's a portable roller with 80 uses. Just like the [[Cutter|cutter]], durability decreases as it is used in crafting.
The Dynamite-O-Mote (commonly called the Dynamite Remote) can be used to remotely detonate one or multiple [[Dynamite]] sticks. This is performed by right-clicking on the stick while holding the Remote. If you do this, the "primed" dynamite stick will have a lighter-colored cap on top; this is so you can tell which sticks have or haven't been primed.

The Mining Laser is a powerful high-tech tool with a variety of applications. It can be used as an insta-mining tool with a relatively low [[EU]] consumption, as well as a high-power AoE block remover, or even as a weapon. All blocks destroyed by the Laser are dropped, with the exception of non-drop blocks like Glass or Leaves. However, due to the destructive nature of the Laser, there is a chance that the block will be destroyed and not drop anything. IndustrialCraft machines drop a [[Machine]] block, as if they were destroyed by a pickaxe. As it is a Tier 3 item, the Mining Laser can use energy from an [[Energypack]].

As of 1.90, the Mining Laser has 7 different modes. These modes can be switched by holding the Mode Switch key (M by default) and right-clicking.
== Firing Modes ==

The Mining Laser can store 300,000 EU, which determines how many shots of each type can be fired. The block penetration distance depends on the hardness of the particular block. In this chart, block penetration is based on smooth stone and dirt. For explosive shots, the penetration radius denotes the radius of the explosion.

Also, hitting Endermen and other neutral mobs with explosive shots will not aggravate them. This only happens when hitting the mob with the explosion, as opposed to the laser directly. This is probably a bug.

It should also be noted that the Mining Laser can be used in Low-Focus mode to mine both faster than the Diamond Drill and at half the energy cost! HAYO!
| align="left" | Super-Heat
| align="left" | If the target can be smelted, the smelted product will be dropped instead of the block itself (eg, hit a iron ore block and an iron ingot will drop). Works on non-vanilla items, such as Redpower Basalt cobble or Forestry tin ore. Exception for cobblestone and sand; see below. Additionally, mobs will be set alight for twice the duration when directly shot at.
|-
|}

''Note:'' In v1.64 the mining laser will sometimes not fire in horizontal mode. Changing to a different mode restores it's function.

Super-Heat mode was added in 1.90.

If a super-heat laser is fired on a sand or cobble block, the block will be replaced with a glass/smooth stone block instead of dropping one. Doing so immediately terminates the beam.

When a super-heat laser is fired at a block such as smoothstone, where the 'normal' drop can be smelted into the block itself, the block will be dropped as if mined with a silk touch-enchanted tool.

When a super-heat laser is fired at a clay block, 4 brick items will be dropped.

== Charging ==

This tool may only be charged in an [[MFE Unit]] or an [[MFS Unit]].

It can also be fully charged immediately by firing it once while you are wearing a charged [[Energypack]], assuming you have enough enough energy for at least one shot left inside of the laser's internal storage.
Seems little rubbish, but who cares! HAYO!!

Please note that in the machine interface above, the output of 32 eu/s is incorrect.

== HAYO ==

What do you do, if even the [[Diamond Drill]] isn't powerful and speedy enough?

You build yourself a '''Mining Laser''', that's what!

This device uses the awesome intensifying power of [[Energy Crystal|Crystals]] to turn energy into energy BEAMZ!

And these beamz will '''easily burn right through everything''': Stone, Dirt, Ore, Creepers...!!

Just aim at something you '''don't want to exist''' and pull the right trigger to '''burn it to a crisp, HAYO!!'''

However, due to the MASSIVE energy consumption, well-planned usage is advised.

The '''Mining Laser''' can fire a reasonable number of laser beams, but due to the large capacity inherent to the crystal design, the laser can only be recharged in a [[MFE Unit]] or [[MFSU]].

== Trivia ==
== Known bugs ==
Nano Saber will completely destroy nano and quantum armor, sometimes in single hit (due this you can't get suit by killing it's owner).
Nearly always gone async with server (drop or move over inventory to refresh it's state).
Timed durability drain will cause animation bugs.

== HAYO ==
Our super awesome nano saber can kill anything you want*! '''HAYO!'''<br>
But this super saber is VERY and we mean VERY powerful. Seriously, do not use it on your friend with that expensive nano armour, or they will probably no longer be your friend<br>
<nowiki>*Note you may only kill what you want if you are still alive.</nowiki><br>
We are also not responsible for any injuries on your friends and family caused by using our device.<br>
The OV Scanner is operated by activating it in a Hotbar slot and right clicking with it. The Scanner scans all blocks in a 9x9 square around the player. |-
|Diamond Ore
|5
|}

This list can be customized in the .minecraft/config/IC2.cfg file on the line starting with '''valuableOres='''. Other blocks, including blocks from other mods can be added to the comma separated list of blocks using this pattern: blockID-Damage:ScannerValue, ; when the damage value is not specified all possible values match.

The values are totaled, and the total ore value in an area is then calculated according to the following formula:

<code>ValueOfArea = 1000*TotalValue/TotalBlocksScanned</code>, where <code>TotalValue</code> is the sum of all the values for the detected resources, and <code>TotalBlocksScanned</code> is the total number of blocks below the player. In this case, it is equal to <code>81*ScanHeight</code>. The result is rounded down to the nearest integer and output on player's screen.
It can only be recharged in an [[MFE Transmitter]], an [[MFS Unit]], or a [[Miner]]. Using the Miner to charge the OV Scanner allows charging without access to tier 2 and 3 EU storage devices. After the scan, the total Ore Density in an area is then calculated according to the following formula:
'''OreDensity''' = 1000*'''TotalDensity'''/'''TotalBlocksScanned''', where '''TotalBlocksScanned''' is the total amount of blocks below the player.
The OD Scanner, or Ore Density Evaluation Device, does... uhm... evaluate the total Ore Density of the ground below your feet.

In fact, it will '''scan a small area around you and then display the ore/stone ratio''' of the scanned area.

I've got to say, I have no clue about the exact mathematical algorithm either, but someone told me '''BIGGER values mean MORE ORE''' and are therefore GOOD.
== HAYO ==
A dark night, you don't have any torches left, and no [[fuel]] to heat your house...
There's a forest nearby, but even if you have an old, rusty axe...
THERE ARE FREAKIN' ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE!
Your solution: '''''The C-32 Chainsaw!!'''''

Yes, you heard right, we designed a frikking chainsaw!

It's built with the same components as the [[Mining Drill]], and is as well completely compatible with '''T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Units'''.

With a chainsaw, you never need to fear a dark night without wood, because you can just run out there and '''cut ''everything'' down'''. The forest! The zombies! That neighbour you've been meaning to kill! '''ANYTHING!'''

You can even cut your way through those pesky Cave Spider webs you hate so much, and even get string out of them while you're at it! This amazing contraption can also cut tree leaf blocks useful for making [[Biofuel Cell|bio fuel]]&mdash;you'll never run out of juice for your [[jetpack]] again! (Do note that the chainsaw is SUCH an effective tool that it often completely shreds any potential saplings that may have dropped from the tree.) Along with zombie heads, the chainsaw also can quickly remove wiring.

And all this at an amazing speed, '''HAYO!'''

Of course, the high quality of our products makes the ''C-32 Chainsaw'' completely unbreakable, and it will never need sharpening (though you will need an energy recharge here and there).
== Charging ==

This tool may be charged using a [[Generator]] of any kind or [[MFE]]/[[CESU]]/[[MFSU]]/[[BatBox]]. Alternatively, it can receive power from a [[Bat-Pack]].It can also be recharged by right-clicking while holding a battery (hold right-click until it fully charges)

==Trivia==

* Without a [[Bat-Pack]], it can mine 120 ground blocks before needing charged.
* It can mine [[obsidian]] and [[Reinforced Stone]].

== Technical ==

* The speed is comparable to an Efficiency II - III [[Non-IC Items|Diamond Pickaxe]].
* The speed is also similar to an Efficiency III - IV [[Non-IC Items|Diamond Shovel]].

== Related Tools ==

* [[Mining Drill]] - The cheaper version (cannot harvest obsidian) of a mining drill. It is slower but costs less energy to use.
*[[Iridium Drill]] - The upgraded version, which is even faster and has Silk Touch and Fortune

== HAYO ==

Of course, you can now complain about the energy hunger of "a simple tool". But yet, did you realise that the '''D-765 [[Mining Drill]] is completely unbreakable?!'''

Yes, it can run out of fuel, but it will '''NEVER EVER break'''(it will, however, burn in fire or lava.)! That's a promise for lifetime!

And if you possibly got some spare diamonds at hand, or just recently crafted some, you can now make an efficient and economic use of them:

Just combine them with the standard version of the '''D-765 [[Mining Drill]]''' and you will get an amazing device called the '''D-765 "Diamond Drill"''', whose mining speed is even '''faster than the speed of light'''!

You say it isn't? Of course it is! Do you think we would ever lie to you?!

== Trivia ==
* Without a [[Bat-Pack]], it can mine 200 ground blocks before needing to be charged. The [[Diamond_Drill|D-765 Diamond Drill]] can only mine 120 but is much faster.

== Related Tools ==
* [[Diamond Drill]] - The diamond version of this tool. It is more expensive, but can harvest obsidian and dig faster. However, it costs more energy to use.

== HAYO ==
It's good, it's neat, it's a hype and it's frikkin' productive!

But can simple pickaxes still fuel the hunger of modern machinery? I tell you: '''No'''!

For this sake, we developed the ultimate device for every miner:

'''The ''D-765 Mining Drill''!!'''

This device can easily run right through any kind of stone, ore or sand. Actually, it '''goes right through them even EASIER then a hot knife through butter'''.

That's a fact, mate.

Additionally, our great level of technology allowed us to make the ''Mining Drill'' fully compatible with our famous '''[[RE Battery|T500-Rechargeable Energy Storage Unit]]'''.

Of course, you can now complain about the energy hunger of "a simple tool". But did you yet realize that the [[Mining Drill]] is '''completely unbreakable'''?

You say it isn't? Of course it is, or do you think we would ever lie to you?!

HAYO!

Also, for the rich and famous, we have a one-time special: <br>just combine 3 Diamonds with your D-765 Mining Drill, to make the even-'''more'''-frikkin'-awesome '''[[Diamond_Drill|D-765 Diamond Drill]]!!''' <br>'''It's faster than light!!

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/browse/industrial_craft_2/ic2_hot_coolant Crafting Guide]

== Usage ==

Hot coolant can be created by venting the heat from a nuclear reactor containing [[Coolant|coolant]] in heat mode. Hot coolant can then be ejected using the [[Reactor Fluid Port]] and piped into a [[Liquid Heat Exchanger]] together with a [[Stirling Generator]] to generate EU. The hot coolant will then be cooled and will become a regular coolant which can be used back in the reactor.

Alternatively, the hot coolant can be used by a steam boiler to make either steam or superheated steam, which can be processed by a steam generator, for a better heat to EU ratio.

Standing in hot coolant is inadvisable as it will burn you, just like lava.
Coolant is an important fluid added in the Experimental Builds of IC2 in order to make [[Coolant Cell]]s, and cool [[Nuclear Reactor]]s in heat mode.

== Recipe ==

Coolant can be made in 2 different ways, both in the [[Canning Machine]]:

{|
|{{Grid/Canning Machine
|mode=D
|input=Lapis Lazuli Dust
|IA=8
|output=Coolant Cell
|output-tank=Coolant
|output-fill=1000
|battery=RE Battery (Charged)
}}
|{{Grid/Canning Machine
|mode=D
|can=Empty Cell
|input-tank=Distilled Water
|input-fill=1000
|input-tank-link=Distilled Water
|input=Lapis Lazuli Dust
|output=Coolant Cell
|output-tank=Coolant
|output-fill=1000
|battery=RE Battery (Charged)
}}
|}

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/industrial_craft_2/ic2_coolant Crafting Guide]

The first method is to put 1 bucket of water into the left hand tank per coolant cell, via pumping it in (using a [[Pump]] for example, using a [[Fluid Ejector Upgrade]] to push fluid from another machine into the tank, or by shift-right clicking on the canning machine with a [[Universal Fluid Cell]] filled with water. Then, you insert 8 [[Dusts|lapis Dust]] into the middle slot per coolant cell, and providing the canning machine has power, it will make liquid coolant.

Coolant can be more effectively made using [[Distilled Water]], so that only 1 lapis dust is needed per bucket of coolant, opposed to 8 with normal water.

Coolant can be extracted from the canning machine using universal fluid cells, but the best method to get it into cells is to put [[Empty Cell]]s in the top left hand slot of the canning machine, so the coolant will instead go into the cells opposed to the right hand tank. If there is coolant in the right hand tank of the canning machine, it can be pumped or fluid ejector upgraded into another canning machine, or into a [[Bottling Plant]], where with the canning machine in fill cell from tank mode, and empty cell is put in the left hand slot

==Uses==

Coolant can be placed in the world, but this however has no useful purpose other than looking nice. The most common use of liquid coolant is to make 10k [[Coolant Cell]]s, crafting it like shown:

{{Grid/Crafting Table
|A2=Tin Plate
|B1=Tin Plate
|B2=Coolant Cell
|B2-link=Coolant (Fluid)
|B3=Tin Plate
|C2=Tin Plate
|Output=10k Coolant Cell
}}

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/browse/industrial_craft_2/10k_coolant_cell Crafting Guide]

Liquid Coolant is also used in nuclear reactors when they are active. The heat can be vented through various [[Heat Vent]] to the coolant tanks to make [[Hot Coolant]]. The hot coolant can then be used in a [[Liquid Heat Exchanger]] with a [[Stirling Generator]] to use the heat to generate EU. The hot coolant will then be cooled and will become a regular coolant which can be used back in the reactor.

'''Distilled Water''' can be obtained by two ways - using the [[Solar Distiller]] or using a [[Condenser]].

The [[Solar Distiller]] accepts up to 10 buckets of [[Non-IC Items|Water]] and will slowly transform it into Distilled Water during the day time (the same way a [[Solar Panel]] generates energy).

Using a [[Condenser]] is faster, but requires [[Steam]] in order to do so. Only IC2 steam will work (produced from a [[Steam Generator]], other mod's steams will not.

'''Note:''' Unlike [[Water]], Distilled Water will not form infinite sources.

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/browse/industrial_craft_2/distilled_water Crafting Guide]

== Usage ==

The main usage of Distilled Water is making [[Coolant]]. The Coolant can be put into [[Coolant Cell|Cells]] and made into [[Overclocker upgrade|Overclocker Upgrades]], or used to cool a [[Pressure Vessel Reactor]]. The other main usage is in the [[Steam Generator]] in order to make either [[Steam]] or [[Superheated Steam]].
Biogas can be obtained in a [[Fermenter]] with [[Biomass]].

'''Biomass''' is a type of fluid that can be fermented to produce [[Biogas]].

==How to obtain==
Biomass can be easily obtained in a [[Canning Machine]].
{{Grid/Canning Machine
|output-fill=1000
|output-tank-link=Biomass
}}

See: [http://crafting-guide.com/browse/industrial_craft_2/biomass Crafting Guide]

Biomass cannot be used directly for fuel. It must be fermented in a [[Fermenter]] into biogas before it can be used as fuel.

10 mB(milibuckets) of biomass will produce 200 mB of biogas.
Lava Cells can be used as a stackable alternative to [[Non-IC Items|Lava Buckets]] (that can't accidentally be spilled and burn your house). They can '''Not''' use them in a [[Non-IC Items|Furnace]] or [[Iron Furnace]] for fuel like you can a [[Non-IC Items|Lava Bucket]].
